Absolutely the best sandwich I’ve had. The bread is so soft! Crunchy crust for additional texture. I had a simple salami with lettuce. No cheese. No mayo.
I am sorry, but I was too tired and too hungry to take more pictures.
Menu offers turkey, salami, ham, etc sandwiches.
You don’t have to order a sandwich, there is lots of bread to purchase.

This is a must stop every year for my husband and I. Macready has the most wonderful fresh baked goods in door county. This last trip we picked up the cranberry cherry loaf, which is amazing. Chewy, moist and flavorful, it was a perfect addition to our picnic on the beach! The frosting free cinnamon rolls are amazing, and DO NOT forget the cherry scones! Can’t go wrong!

Highly recommend the Italian sandwich and enjoying the outside area. To my delight there was a guitarist outside in the pergola the day I stopped and it added an extra layer of relaxation to my lunch. Each staff member was so calm and respectful. Will be back!!

Macready’s is a special place — definitely check it out! The bread is tremendous which makes its sandwiches absolutely amazing. The cranberry chicken salad is a must. My kids also love their sandwiches (and their cookies!!) so it’s a must do for our family any time we are in Door County. Don’t miss it!

We stopped in to buy some fresh bread for a lakeside picnic. And Macready Artisan Bread did not disappoint. The Hippie bread was phenomenal. We had some local cheese with it but it doesn’t need anything added.

Do yourself a favor and try this place! I am NOT a scone fan but when I saw these I was like ‘ ok they look good let’s give them a try’ one bite in and we both instantly said ‘ we need to go back for more’! The scones are perfect balance of dry and wet to the cherries. They taste like the joy and love they were made from! Seriously, if Jenny can turn me into a scone lover, it can happen to you too! We also had grilled cheese and ham sandwiches for breakfast. They were fantastic! We bought a loaf of their French bread and while it doesn’t have that firm crust most people expect it IS delicious! The springiness of the bread and just the right amount of chewiness. I haven’t tried toasting it yet but I can imagine it will be just as tantalizing on the tongue. We did stop back the same day and got 2 more scones. We got into the best conversation with Jenny and Sue and told Jenny we needed cherry to take home to our daughter and she said she would make us another flavor asked what we like and we said surprise us. She made Raspberry and it was equally delicious. We also got a loaf of cranberry raisin bread, and it was one of those moments where you wanted to zip yourself into a bubble. Absolutely divine. My daughters exact words were (it’s slap ya mama good, figuratively )
If you’re in Door County for a few days go every day and try something new. She switches items daily and you will NOT be disappointed! This is now going to be one of our MUST stops when we come to Door County! Thanks Jenny and Sue! We’re friends now! We had a delicious sandwich and soup today. The breads and desserts are amazing. The ladies there are delightful. We had a great lunch. Nice place to meet and converse with some very nice local ladies. So happy we found it.

GREAT bread sandwiches! Chips too. Awesome chocolate chip cookies and cinnamon rolls! I had the turkey with double turkey….excellent!! So fresh. Awesome dining outdoors with live music!! Highly recommend!!

What a great place!! My brother got a plain turkey and cheddar sandwich and he loved it! The bread was especially notable as it was fresh and very fluffy. I on the other hand got a raspberry scone. When I asked the worker what she recommended she was extremely helpful and personable. My scone was amazing!! One of the best I’ve had as there were a ton of raspberries included and the flavor was great. Would recommend 🙂
