I personally recommend the spicy pork bulgogi. Its my go to and it is the best bulgogi you’ll ever eat on this side of the pacific. Their other offerings are great, especially the appetizers. You wouldn’t think fried tofo dipped in spiced soy sauce would be that good, but its like my personal catnip. The selection of beer is good, with a decent choice of Japanese and Korean beers available, as well as a couple of the better American ones.
All in all, a fantastic place to bring a friend to have lunch and a beer.
Oriental Spoon is hands down one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was inviting and the staff greeted us with genuine warmth. The service was impressively fast and attentive—everything ran smoothly, and we felt well taken care of the entire time.
Now onto the food—it was absolutely phenomenal. Every bite was rich with flavor and clearly made with care and high-quality ingredients. You can truly taste the authenticity and passion behind the cooking. The textures, seasoning, and overall presentation were spot on, and everything came out hot, fresh, and perfectly timed.
This is the kind of place where the food speaks for itself, leaving you satisfied and already thinking about your next visit. Whether you’re familiar with Korean cuisine or just trying something new, Oriental Spoon delivers an experience that’s both comforting and impressive.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food, fast service, and a welcoming environment. A true gem!
As for the menu, the standout appetizer in my opinion is the Spicy Crab Rangoon. It offers a perfect harmony of crispy texture and creamy interior, with a subtle heat that elevates rather than overwhelms. For the main course, the Beef Bulgogi Bap is a personal favorite tender, marinated beef next to white rice with nuanced seasoning that creates a comforting yet dynamic flavor profile.
The ambiance itself mirrors the culinary experience: a modern, loft-inspired setting that strikes a balance between casual and refined, accented with tasteful Asian (Oriental) design elements. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to enjoy a memorable meal in an environment that feels both vibrant and thoughtfully curated.
We couldn’t decide what to try so we started with a delish strawberry soju. Perfect.
For appetizers we ordered the spicy crab Rangoons, tofu + kimchi, & tteok fries. The spicy crab Rangoons were the BEST Rangoons I have ever had, and I have had an embarrassing amount – ( I truly debated getting more of those instead of an entree LOL). The tofu fries + kimchi offered such a flavorful combination that we had to stop ourselves from eating it all so we could enjoy some at home, too. Lastly, the tteok fries had such a delicious spicy strawberry sauce and unexpectedly blew me away. That sauce would be so good on anything I think!
Next up, even though we could’ve totally called it a day at the apps, we ordered entrees because of how great everything had been so far. My partner got the spicy ramyun with added chicken and thought it had a really good flavor. Served steaming hot, it was great. For myself I ordered the spicy pork bulgogi and could not say enough good things about it- the meat was perfectly tender, the rice warm and delicious, and the sauce….. incredible. We packed so much of it up to take with us and I cannot wait to dig in again.
Worth noting – the prices are wonderful. Very fairly priced, an overall 10/10 restaurant. Could easily become a go to.
Perfectly balanced
