This place is fantastic! The quintessential American Chinese restaurant. Ambience/decor are straight out of a Wong Kar Wai film and took me to another place. Food and service were also great. Will definitely be returning. Do yourself a favor and check it out!

Very cute oriental restaurant, love all the ornate pictures & dragons in the place.
We went for the lunch special & wow they give you a lot of food.
I had the chicken broccoli & changed my fried rice to steamed.
Was delicious. You are also given egg drop soup which is really good & an egg roll.
We were all stuffed when we left & needed boxes to take home left overs.
Probably most will eat it all but as I’ve aged, I can’t eat as much.
Very reasonable pricing.
Will visit again when we’re in the area.
Best Chinese we had since leather Bay Area of California.

We have found some Chinese restaurants are inconsistent and the quality is not what one hopes for. That is the NOT the case for the Dragon Palace- this place does it RIGHT!

This restaurant has been in the same small strip mall o n 32nd street near Thunderbird in Phoenix for about 40 years. The other tenants in this mall have come and gone, but the Dragon Palace maintains its place in the SE corner. Owners Ken and Winnie have been managing it daily as a family restaurant for more than 20 years with skill and caring.

We have lived on the east side of town since 2006 and we were always “amused” how Ken proudly displayed more than 20 years of health department A RATING certificates by the cashier.
They still have the current A Rating posted, but they ran out of space and I imagine the health dept. may have said “enough.”

What is important to consumers is the food quality and theirs is always consistent and tasty at lunch and dinner. We normally prefer lunch and their business is often just short of a full house, regardless of the day of the week. We have tried and enjoyed all of their entrees and have a number of personal favorites. Their EGG DROP SOUP that comes with lunch is the absolute BEST we have had anywhere in the USA! Highly recommended!!!!

Are you looking for comfort foods? This place hits the spot. I used to live in the neighborhood and would make this a must have 2 times a month.. I moved across town and dont get to visit as much but they still greet me the same. The owners are sweet as pie and the food is super yummy. Everything I have ever tried is bomb. Priced right too. You should totally give them a chance!

Classic style dining area, with lanterns and traditional music playing creates a perfect mood. The soup was hot and fresh, and the Orange Chicken was well made

The restaurant has a very old vibe and very quiet but Decent food. We, a family of 3, stopped by on a weekday evening for dinner. We had sizzling rice soup, shrimp kung pao , snow pea vegetable, and fired rice and all 4 dishes were decent. Cons: the tea was terrible like it was old. I asked for a new one but it came out the same, no flavor and no tanning.

Lunch special is where its at! So much food at a price ranging from $10-$12. Always efficient service, food comes out super hot. Interior is cozy, comfy booths and has great decor. Rare to find restaurants that don’t look like a grey dentists office these days. Love coming here and have been for years now

“I’m absolutely blown away by Dragon Palace near 32nd Street and Thunderbird! Every visit has been a culinary masterpiece, with piping hot and fresh dishes bursting with flavor. The atmosphere is truly captivating, making it the perfect spot for any occasion.

Ken and his wife Wendy’s hospitality shines through in every aspect of the restaurant, from the attentive service to the carefully crafted menu. Every element comes together to create a dining experience that’s simply 100% amazing.

If you’re looking for authentic, delicious Asian cuisine in Phoenix, look no further than Dragon Palace. Five stars isn’t enough – I’d give it ten stars if I could! Highly recommended!”

Got food for a to go order. Really liked the inside of the restaurant, everything seemed promising until it was time to eat. Kung pao chicken, sweet and sour chicken, House chicken, and vegetable mein were all very very very bland. No spice at all. Pretty disappointed with the whole meal.

We’ve given this place two chances in the last two months, and the second visit completely sealed the deal. The first meal was mediocre at bes, acceptable flavors, nothing memorable, but we wanted to support a local, family-owned restaurant. Unfortunately, it seems they don’t share the same commitment to quality.
This last order was awful. The noodles were badly overcooked, the duck was dry, tough, and borderline inedible, the shrimp with lobster sauce looked and tasted more like shrimp with scrambled eggs and the entire meal felt careless and rushed. Spending over $100 plus tip for food of this quality is unacceptable. There’s a big difference between “supporting local” and paying premium prices for subpar, poorly prepared food. We won’t be back.
