I can’t even express how irritated I am. This is ridiculous. If I could give 0 stars I would. Mato was the guys name who said he prides himself on his subs when we called to ask his name. My fiancé asked how soft is your white bread, mato pinched it said it was super soft, His bread and my mother in laws bread is so hard and stale that it’s literally crumbling. This man on the phone said well if you were that worried about it I could have given it to you to feel yourself. First off you’re gonna let an ungloved customer just feel up the bread? Second hell no you mean to tell me you just physically can’t tell??? He put maybe 5 slices of meat when we asked for double then we asked for even more and he put maybe 3 more on, he told us on the phone he gave us “EXTRA”. No sir, we went and bought a pack of turkey from the dollar store after. My fiancé didn’t even finish ordering his sandwich and mato was closing it up, my fiancé had to stop him to say he wanted oil and vinegar and mato seemed inconvenienced by it. Every item but maybe 3 that we asked for wasn’t stocked. Mato scraped the bottom of the pan for onion slivers and asked if I really wanted more like it was a chore. I asked for sauce the bottle was practically empty and he didn’t even bother to ask if I wanted more before closing my sub. The store was completely empty besides us, you can’t tell me you didn’t have time to restock between customers. We found short hair in our food on top of everything(we all have butt length hair). We called to get his name for the review and mato felt the need to question and argue with any complaint we had rather than trying to fix the situation. the three of us combined have worked in food for over 20 years, this man has no business being in food. Not to mention he didn’t change his gloves once between the three sandwiches including touching the posi screen (register) and grabbing our coupon. Can’t say we’ll be coming back anytime soon

I recently visited the North Street Sunway location in Rapid City, SD, and had a disappointing experience with one of the employees (Employee #999997). The customer service I received was far below what I expect from this store. The employee seemed uninterested in helping, gave short or dismissive responses, and made the overall interaction feel unwelcoming.
I usually have good experiences at this location, but this visit left a really bad impression. I hope management can address this, because customer service should be consistent no matter who is working. This was on 11/20/2025 at 5:55pm, it was an online order for pickup.

Haven’t been to subway for years and this was the absolute worst experience. The young lady making my sandwhich was very rude. She said kept asking “what else” with no time to think and properly respond. She didn’t even bother telling us where the drinks and apple sauce were for the kid meals that I ordered. So I had to figure that out on my own. I won’t be returning to a subway again for awhile.

Did a simple online order of steak and bacon, and sweet onion chicken teriyaki. Arrived at store to pick up and both male employees were complaining how they have to make lunch food for dinner customers and it’s stupid because they want to close. One employee had a big foot long Rambo knife on his hip and it look unprofessional. The sandwiches were made completely wrong and were disgusting it’s like they purposely mismatched the ingredients the steak had the sweet onion sauce and the chicken teriyaki had a gross mismatch of things and it was rotisserie chicken not even the right type. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Why be open if you’re out of majority of the condiments required to make the sandwhiches?? Not to mention we were over charged in store. Over $27 for 2 subs when you couldnt even give the sauces we wanted nor banana peppers so you instead you over compensate with an over abundance of onions?? WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.

Very short lady with black hair working, was extremely disrespectful basically yelling at us and seemed bothered that we even came in, she just was not listening to what we were saying tried toasting the sandwich when we clearly said no and every two seconds said “what else” before we were even done talking.

We stopped in while on vacation 6/17/24 and it was just one person working over the lunch hour. He handled it very well with being to only one here. He made the experience interesting by being comical all the while being stressed out. Kudos to the man that was our sandwhich artist.

This place is CONSTANTLY understaffed. You go in on a weekend afternoon (what should be their busiest hours) and they have one poor guy working the counter, mobile orders and drive through with a line of people to the door. All the employees have been great to deal with, but severely understaffed. I did see a women who I assume was the franchise owner or corporate that was sitting at a table while their only team member was swamped with orders and they didn’t even look up to see if they needed help. Lack of leadership.

Asked for a Chicken bacon ranch and this is what I got. No ranch at all. Pretty sure this sandwich is made with cut chicken breast not shredded chicken, it does not taste the same to me.
