Always a great experience here. The food comes out fresh and full of flavor, and the service is genuinely friendly the whole time. You can tell the staff actually cares about making sure you’re taken care of. The atmosphere is relaxed, clean, and perfect for grabbing a meal, drinks, or just hanging out.
Overall, solid spot in San Angelo — I’ll definitely be back.

We visited City Limits twice, and overall, the experience was okay, but not great. Our first visit on a Saturday was decent. The burger, cheese curds, and fried steak bits were tasty, though a bit salty. The service was on the slower side, but the food made up for it that day.
However, our second visit on a Sunday evening wasn’t as positive. They were out of several menu items, including French fries, which was disappointing. I ordered two kids’ meals, and since fries weren’t available, we chose other sides. To our surprise, we were charged extra for those substitutions. While the amount wasn’t significant, it felt unfair, given that fries weren’t even an option. The service was also much slower, and the food quality didn’t impress us enough to return.
Our first visit was better, but unfortunately, the inconsistency makes it hard to recommend City Limits with enthusiasm.

Bartender would not serve me because I was in the restroom for one hour on the phone on a private conversation talking about GOD when her employee went into a stall, used the restroom, didn’t wash her hands, but frantically she walks out and I can clearly hear her outside the restroom door telling whoever was listening and I quote,” SHE’S IN THERE TALKING ABOUT GOD! SHE’S IN THERE TALKING ABOUT GOD!” OF course I heard her and I shouted back YES I AM TALKING ABOUT GOD AND I ALWAYS WILL BE! And continued my conversation on the phone. Then another female came in but I didn’t pay attention who it was. Well when I finally got off the phone and went to the bar and ordered a beer, the female Bartender with glasses comes to stand directly in front of me as I was talking to my niece. And then I seen the female who shouted out that I was talking g to GOD. So I kindly asked her,’Are u the female that just came out of the restroom?” She said,”No.” I said ok. When I turn around the female Bartender proceeds to tell me she wasn’t going to serve me and I asked why. She said she didn’t have to have a reason. And again I asked what did I do? She then replies that I tried to check her employee. So then I pointed in the direction the girl was sitting and looking at the girls direction asking the bartender, “Is she your employee?” The bartender says yes but the girl was gone. So I replied, “OH I SEE So ur not going to serve me cuz I was in the restroom talking about GOD? She replies, “Uh No that’s not not why because ur talking about GOD..(ROLLONG HER EYES)…She continues to say…”U were in the restroom for an hour…I laughed and again I said so because I was in the restroom for an hour talking on the phone about GOD ur not going to serve me? She then says,” Ur drunk.” I laughed some more. By now my niece got upset. Bartender threatened to call cops…I told her again to give me a real reason for not serving me and kicking us out because all the reasons she gave me were not legitimate. Well needless to say, she couldn’t give me a good reason. Im sure there’s cameras to confirm everything I have said is true. We’ll yes I walked out and pointed at her and asked her,”Do u know where ur going?” She didn’t answer just looked at me. And I said,” I KNOW MY WALK. I’VE BEEN TO HELL 3 TIMES. ITS. DONE.”
Moral of the story.
Believe in GOD or Believe in the Devil…this place showed everyone who was present who they represent. I still stand and walk with GOD yes even in the Devil’s Den.

Listen, y’all. I ain’t mad about it, this place isn’t an average bar food type place. My first time will lead to more! The waitress was a very nice young lady who didn’t ignore us because we chose to sit away from everyone else and was more attentive than we’ve had in 6 months at some well known restaurants. The food was OFF THE CHAIN good. We can’t wait to go again. The only drawback for some is that it is, indeed, a bar. Make no mistake, this is a well hidden gem in San Angelo!!

Food was great! Service wasn’t the greatest, waited forever for any drink after my first, and it would sit empty. (sitting at the bar) Appetizer came out at the same time as the food. I sympathize as someone who worked in the industry, but even after everything slowed down & i saw cuts being made, i still wasn’t checked on much by the bartender with my tab. probably won’t return, the experience was disappointing overall.

So I am sitting in my motel room and I just realized that I have no ride here and I need a girl so what do I do so I call the national institute of rides to a bar and what to do you know they come get me within 23 seconds and then I get to the place and they all ran up to me and gave me hugs the ladies I just couldn’t believe it call 1800 I’m half drunk .com and you will see also I’m gonna come to this place when I can walk thank you for reading this and never forget to call Netflix for fees back thanks hit me up on Amazon

I had the Angelo Hot Chicken Mac and Cheese and it was absolutely delicious! I try to eat something different every time I go. All of their food is phenomenal! The wait staff was very attentive. Great environment and music.
