Service was great. The two people were just busy serving and answering the phone. They were nice.
Only sweet, unsweet tea, and water to drink or all that was offered.
I got a hamburger, fries, and chocolate cake. They did not have any bread pudding. But the chocolate cake was the most moist cake I ever had. It was so good, made up for not having bread pudding. Probably the best chocolate cake I have ever had.
The burger paddy was big. Maybe didn’t have lots of flavor but it was good and real meat. Husband liked the okra a lot. He had hamburger steak w/ gravy, okra, baked beans. He said the baked beans were just okay maybe tasted like out of a can.
Overall, I was satisfied and we come back. I really want to try their bread pudding.
They do not take American Express cards. They took our other cards to pay though.

Great experience today. Food was great, and service was great. We got the fish sandwiches, fried pork chops, hamburger steak, and gumbo. I tried everyone’s food and it was all great! Drove from from Birmingham to meet my brother who goes to Auburn for lunch. Might have to make that drive again just for Bookers❤️

She was SO FRIENDLY AND CARING! She made suggestions for dessert and you can tell that she takes PRIDE in the meals that she serves. The Ooey Gooey cake and the Banana Pudding that she made was AMAZING and the chicken dressing, field peas, and cornbread was filling. The mac and cheese was ok, but I’m biased about the mac and cheese that I prefer lol. My friend had a burger and he said that he dreamed about that big ole burger she served him! Lol, we had come back yesterday but they were closed, although google showed that they were supposed to be open. That’s ok though, because we will just keep checking for when they are open and whenever we catch them open, we will be strolling through that door to have a seat! Lol. The waiter was very friendly and he kept a good check on us to make sure that we were good. Overall, it’s a 10/10 absolutely recommend! The plates didn’t didnt even stand a chance for a picture..lol

First time Bookers for some home cookin. Food was great! The pork chops were fried just right with a crisp, flaky crust. Steamed cabbage, with fresh pepper sauce, and mac and cheese rounded out the meal. Can’t wait to try the Ox Tails next!

The staff were so nice, friendly, they were great. I wanted to stay another hour to visit enjoying the tea. Food was very good, enjoyable. It was a late lunch returning from FL.
