Tuxedo Grill is super kid friendly and a great stop for lunch. The food is average for a zoo. The people working there were exceptional! So kind and helpful.

I really appreciate the gluten-free buns here. It makes me able to eat here with the family. The food is really good, and the building is nice. There is a high pitched noise though. Is it a cooking fan? Not sure. Prices are fairly high but it would cost just much to go to a decent restaurant and give a tip and everything. KC Zoo is awesome!

Shocked to see how terribly reviewed this place is. It’s no different than any other zoo cafe I’ve ever been to. Food was fine. Chicken tenders were large and filling. Staff was nice. Tables were clean. 3 stars because it’s obviously not phenomenal food or prices. But it’s exactly what I was expecting.

Expensive cafeteria food. $10 per person and $5 per drink. Staff was great and inside and outside eating areas were good.

More expensive food, as expected. My husband got the bacon cheeseburger and fries. It was good. I got the pepperoni pizza. I did have to wait a little bit for the pizza but at least it was hot and fresh. Tasted like Freshetta pizza, which I really enjoy. It looked like one zoo slice was 1/4 of a Freshetta pizza for size comparison. We usually pack as lunch but this was a nice change of pace. Great outdoor seating with shade or indoor if you’d like to cool off.

The Zoo allows you to bring your own food in. If you want to eat hot food with out carrying your lunch around for hours there are a few dine-in restaurants. Yes, it’s expensive. Yes, it’s basic/ mediocre food. I had pizza and fries. My food was hot and good. The restaurant was very clean and well staffed. It was a nice atmosphere to sit inside and relax for a while. Personally, I would prefer to eat here instead of carrying a small cooler around all day.

Your new chef is an excellent caring and diligent cook. He oversees everything to make sure the food is tasty and fresh. The dining room is being kept in good condition and the workers are friendly and always have been. The prices are a bit too high but that’s my only complaint. Please keep this young man working and happy. A post from Mommy and her two babies ☺️

New check out system is inefficient and I had to wait 30 minutes for a water on glo wild night. Would probably be longer on a regular zoo day

3 words. Battered French Fries! My daughter and I’s French fry dates at the Zoo are a little happy place for us. Extra points for the dip selections. Happy to have Dr. Pepper and would love to see Diet Coke here too <3

We were visiting from the UK, so didn’t bring our own food with us. Decided to have lunch here, prices were expensive, had to wait for fries, service could of been better overall. I had the chicken and fries, and I actually liked the food, just not the price. Other half had chicken burger and fries, it was okay. Were not used to our chicken burgers being kept in a vat of unknown liquid .
