We had a leisurely 2 hour apps-only dinner and everything from the ambiance on the patio, to the service, to the food and wine was so perfect. Highlights were the ultra-fresh ceviche (I’m not a big seafood person) and the chicken tortilla soup with all the right spices and massive chunks of chicken. We also enjoyed the guacamole, elote, and flautas with a bottle of wine. Great experience and I highly recommend.

We went on a Saturday night. We all had tacos. It was unbelievably loud. We used a decibel app, and it was close to 90 – outdoors! The live music was good but cranked up to the max.
The taco meat was dry and overcooked. The salsa we got was half decent. The spicy green salsa was really hot, but good. The red salsa was watery and didn’t have much flavor.
We will go check out other places when we are in Chicago next.

Went here last night with a couple of my friends and we were seated right away. James is one of the bartenders/waiters and he took exceptional care of us all night. He recommended the chef’s speciality for the 3 of us and it did not disappoint! We will absolutely be returning to this spot very soon and often.

First time here, and the best part about this dining experience was the wait staff! They are super friendly and very attentive. Also really liked the outdoor seating. It was quiet and comfortable.
I ordered a steak taco and a salmon taco. Honestly, not the best I’ve had as there was not a lot of flavor going on with either of them. The steak didn’t seem to be seasoned at all. The salmon was okay and much better than the steak. I did love the taco shells and also the refried beans were very good!
We also had the guacamole before our main entrees and it was phenomenal!
All of our drinks that we had from the menu were amazing and I would definitely give this place a try again, I would just try some different dishes before I come back and review again.

This is the perfect place for a cozy dinner with fresh food and great drinks. We tried cocktails, an appetizer, a main course for two and dessert because it was just all so good we had to keep trying more! We had a reservation and were seated promptly when we entered. After we were seated they started us off with complimentary chicken soup. It was so flavorful and delicious on a cold night, much appreciated! We then ordered the Claremont margaritas which had strawberries and a fresh flower garnish. They weren’t too sweet, which is just what we like. We then tried the guacamole, which at first glance might seem pricey at $14 but it also came with fresh spicy salsa, homemade pico de gallo, and warm chips. The guac was creamy and the pico was fresh and vibrant. We went big for our main course and ordered the tres carnes for two. It was presented in a hot lave bowl and came with a side of hot tortillas. Every protein was tender and delicious. We wish it had a couple more pieces of cheese, because the pieces we had were so yummy, but would 100% order it again. The shrimp was incredible. Definitely worth a try if you want to taste a bit of everything. And because we needed to try even more food, we topped our meal off with their churros which were served with ice cream and fresh whipped cream. We were impressed with everything and will definitely be back. We’d argue this is the best restaurant on Roscoe! We can not wait until their patio opens this summer.

We stopped in on a Friday for dinner and drinks with our dog. Luckily we came early because the patio filled up fast! The drinks were great, service was friendly. Food was good (nothing spectacular), but overall we loved the atmosphere and that they’re dog friendly!

Great patio and service! We went to Amor y Tequila on a Saturday, no reservation, and sat in their awesome patio. Our food and drinks came to the table pretty fast after ordering. Their margarita was pretty good and kinda strong. I recommend their al pastor burrito, chicken tinga tacos and the calabacitas tacos (vegetarian). The guac was pretty tasty also. Overall, I’d definitely be back.

Here I am sitting at a table, trying to flag down the waiter but nothing. The place is empty. Besides me there are only two other tables. The staff ignored. Manager showed up, shrugged his shoulders and that was it. I was the only white person here, perhaps thats the reason?
