The lady at the front counter was extremely rude and had a horrible attitude. She wore headphones the entire time and was very unprofessional. The food was decent, not 5 star quality by any means but was not horrible.

On the 30th of December, I had the opportunity to meet the rudest server ever. I came up to the counter and nobody was around so after a few minutes, I called out for help. A little girl was sitting in the corner with earbuds on watching me the whole time and never got up to ask if I needed help. She immediately asked what did I want (rudely). Not “may I help you or sorry for your wait”. My senses told me just leave, but I just wanted to get something and be on my way. After a long wait, my food came and it was totally trash. I had to discard all of it. The fish plate I ordered was uneatable. The fish was cooked in grease that had to be days old. Will never eat there again and I highly recommend they just close down and start over. By the way, I live in Temple and the Clem Mikeska’s here is nothing like that trash in Cameron.

Not going to waste a lot of time on this review. Trash purely trash. I have been going there for years over the last 5 years it has gone downhill tremendously. Boiled brisket gamey tasting ribs and not to mention dried out turkey. We paid almost $30 for an awful meal you are also paying almost $12 for a quarter pound if that of meat on your sandwich. Not what it used to be should be closed down permanently. The employment staff awful as well very rude and just their mannerisms are just plain awful.

I hope this is noticed as the location in Cameron Texas. The service was terrible! We’ve been to this location a number of times and the service is always terrible. We ordered our food as the little girl just sat there and stared at us. No “hello how are you, can I take your order, anything else I can do for you “ nothing! And when my wife asked for bread we were told “we’re all out of bread right now “ even though I was looking at 3 loaves on the shelf behind her. And almost like perfect timing the other girl came from the back with a whole box of bread. To me it was just plain lazy. And we had to SPEAK UP because she had her air pods in and couldn’t hear us speaking normal inside volume.

The food is decent, nothing to write home about, and way overpriced. Seriously, the prices are absolutely ridiculous. Especially being in a small town. The service was cold and unfriendly. No smiles and monotone voices. They acted like they did not want to be there and certainly didn’t want me there. I should have just left when I waited at the drive thru window for several minutes and was ignored. I don’t recommend this place.

Don’t let the gas station deter you. It was actually great BBQ had a very good barbecue sauce. We tried the pork ribs brisket jalapeno sausage all tasted great.

Went in at 4:30pm to get two dinners to go. The place was clean and neat. When I ordered, I was asked if I minded getting the fatty portions of brisket because she couldn’t find any more (or didn’t want to look). The cole slaw was lukewarm. Maybe that’s how they serve it, but I’m used to “cold” coleslaw. The sausage tasted less than good compared to other BBQ places here in Cameron. Both meats were not hot nor fresh. I wanted to get some cobbler, but she said they were out. The only thing that tasted good and was hot was the fried okra, and it was very good! Overall, we feel like we just got the leftovers because they didn’t want to replenish their food supply. Sadly, I don’t think we’ll be back. $35 is a lot of money to spend on sub-par food.
