Everything was really good the only problem I had was that the vegetables were not fresh and neither were the buns . Other than that everything was really good. Tried Hippo’s Burger in Pasadena — the burger was pretty mid. It smelled and tasted frozen, and the bun was bland. The fries were also undercooked, which was disappointing. On the positive side, the place was clean, service was fast, and the cashier was friendly. Overall, just an average spot.

The beef patty was as large as the bun. I had the BLT burger that was very good. I didn’t specify to cook the patty to only medium, and it was well done. It was still delicious though. Next time I’ll make sure to try to get a medium patty. My wife ordered the Mushroom Chicken sandwich. She loved it. The fries were well cooked and tasty. Anyway, you order at the counter. The food was delivered to our table quickly while hot. We’ll be back because they have many more sandwiches I want to try.

Burger was CHARRED the way I like! Bacon, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Onion & jalapeños! The lettuce was chopped and fell off. I prefer the leaf. They have great Cajun fries are seansoned and spicey and crispy. Chili dogs are good too. Chili didnt end up causing indigestion. My husband doesn’t do spicy and the jalapeños soaked into the entire bun. They’re spice level is about 7-8. We enjoyed the food and will be back.

The burgers were very good and tasty. They just didn’t use hardly any mayonnaise on a BLT hamburger but we managed and it did taste good. Be aware that the price is $30 for two hamburgers fries and a drink. But they tasted really good with the bacon

I was blown away by this place. We came here on a whim after shopping and this place did not disappoint. The burgers were juicy, fresh, flavorful, great beef flavor and seasoned perfectly. The fries were crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and great consistency. I look forward to our next Hippo Burger. Please do not sleep on this place. The next time you’re in the mood for a burger and you are tired of all the major chains-come to Hippo Burger. I almost forgot to mention, they have a great playlist.

These burgers are OUTSTANDING!! Legit. They burgers were cooked to perfection. We had the Mushroom Swiss and Avocado burger w/Swiss. The meat is made fresh and ingredients as well. The fries were hot and crunchy. They need more locations and marketing. They’re flying under the radar. Check out the menu. There’s something for everyone.

The moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by a worker named Bianca at the front, who made me feel instantly welcome. She was kind, patient, and gave me the time I needed to decide, which made the ordering process stress-free. Not only was her service outstanding, but she also made sure our food came out quickly and fresh. I ordered the avocado burger with Cajun fries, and it was absolutely incredible. The fries had the perfect kick of spice to complement the burger. Honestly, it was a 10/10 experience from start to finish. With service this good and food this delicious, I’ll definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend others do the same!

Went on 6/5/23 for their grand opening. Super accessible location just off the freeway. Big menu, good prices, and the food was awesome. I had the Hippo Chicken Especial, with Cajun fries. I could not recommend enough! Service was fantastic and prompt, wasn’t too busy when we ate, so food arrived especially quick. If you’re looking for a quality FRESH fast food option, look no further. Will be a consistent customer.
