Went here for dinner from a recommendation and it was like being back in Italy. For starters, they did not rush you to flip the table and this is the Italian tradition. The atmosphere was pleasant and inviting. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious! We ordered the fried zucchini appetizer , Cabernet Blanc and their special of the day- butternut ravioli. It was incredibly delicious with flavors I had not tasted before. Superb. We shared the limoncello cake which was perfect. As well! I’ll definitely be back.

Not only was our food absolutely excellent, our waitress Margie was so accommodating and personable. She took special care of our toddler, making sure he was happy throughout the meal. The chef/owner Vito visited our table and we had a wonderful chat with him. Highly recommend the fig & pig pizza!

Nice to have an authentic Italian restaurant near by. I have gotten pizza here before and had the lasagna which was good. The last time I went, I had the special (My apologies I forgot the name) it was a piece of fish on lobster ravioli on a bed of red sauce. It was $35+.. I didn’t like the meal itself, it was a low( OK)..broccoli was over cooked and mushy. The entire plate had no crunch to it…for $35, I should have been wowed. I won’t buy any more fish specials anytime soon. Calamari was really good and fresh.

The bruschetta was the most notable thing we had, I would go back for that alone. The fried zucchini was good. Their marinara was delicious. The Mediterranean pasta was rather salty. The steak was much larger than expected and cooked perfectly. The scallops were overcooked and tougher than they should be.

There are no frills to the atmosphere, rather pricey wine menu.
I would go back.

La Cucina delivered an unforgettable evening of Italian indulgence at their Riboli Wine Pairing Dinner. From the moment we were welcomed with Champagne to the final sip of dessert wine, every course was a masterclass in flavor and hospitality.

The Menu Highlights:

• Cavatelli with beef short rib and mushrooms — rich, comforting, and beautifully paired with the Opaque Darkress Red.
• Pollo Cardinale — tender chicken layered with basil, mozzarella, and marsala cream, served alongside a perfectly creamy mushroom risotto and roasted carrots. The Rivetti Barolo elevated every bite.
• Seared Halibut — a standout dish with roasted artichoke, pancetta, parsnip purée, and herbed potatoes. The Frascati pairing was bright and balanced.
• Tette delle Monache — a playful and delicious finale, paired with a luscious dessert wine.

️ Atmosphere & Service: The communal tables fostered a warm, convivial vibe, and the staff were gracious, attentive, and clearly passionate about the experience. Everything ran smoothly from seating to final toast.

Value: At $110 per person (including tax and gratuity), the evening felt like a steal for the quality, creativity, and seamless execution.

If you’re looking for a restaurant that knows how to host a truly special event, La Cucina is it. Can’t wait to return for their next pairing dinner.

We had a wonderful dining experience here on Saturday night, 7/5/25. My girlfriend had a very good Gluten Free 16” Classico pizza and I enjoyed the delicious Chicken Piccata with Bolognese spaghetti on the side. A glass of Malbec wine for each of us complemented our meals and added to our dining experience. The pizza was ample size, and we even had half of it to take home to enjoy later.

We love La Cucina as it reminds me when I lived in Bay Ridge Brooklyn. All their food is so good, from the pasta, pizza and everything in the menu is so good. Our kids love their pizza and calamari. We would recommend this place so much if you want Italian food.

Great experience, first time dining. Chef Vito greeted us when we walked in and also visited the table during dinner. My wife has celiac so GF is a must not a want. Chef was aware and extremely accommodating to cook up everything GF. Started with some calamari and then she had the piccata. I went full gluten and had the chicken parmigiana which was delicious. The sauce was fresh!! Topped it off with the featured wine from Abruzzo, Talamonti Pecorino. Great experience, will certainly be back. This is a restaurant that defines the words Mom and Pop! We certainly felt welcome at this table!
