We called the day before, leaving a message telling them we’d be coming in with a party of 17. We arrived the next day, told the lady we’d have a party of 17. She rolled her eyes, we explained that we had left a message saying we’d be having 17 people,
She said well we don’t check our messages. The entire time we were there she was rude, rolling her eyes, being short. When our food arrived she was slamming the plates on our table. Not sure what the servers name was, and I understand serving 17 people is a lot, still was completely unacceptable behavior.

The food was good. I was very happy with my food we had fajitas. Nice meat to vegetables mix and had good flavor. Always wish thier was more meat but it was good

Armando’s is fantastic! It’s a short drive outside of Wichita for excellent Mexican cuisine. If you are a fan of a molcajete, this is the place to go. Come for a margarita and stay for the molcajete and tacos!

I love Armando’s! It is a little bit expensive if you have more than 2 people, but overall the food and service was excellent! I’ve never had better Hispanic food from a resturaunt.

Went to Clearwater for a graduation, and we stopped in for dinner.

Had the molcajete for two.

Best I’ve ever had. Absolutely delicious!

WORST Service EVER!!!
The food is good (not great but good) but the service is absolutely terrible!! After waiting over five minutes we seated ourselves trying to make room because so many people were crammed in the tiny entryway. The owner ignored us for over 15 minutes. When I finally raised my hand and said sir, he came up and said ‘the sign says wait to be seated’ and walked away with no intention of serving us. We were too crammed in there to see any sign. We left and went to Pizza Hut.
Last time he charged us each $1 for lemon in our tea. When we questioned it, he said read the menu. Lemon is extra. We didn’t have a menu yet when we ordered drinks to have seen it.
Won’t be going back which sucks because Mexican is my favorite and it’s right here in town. He deleted my FB review!!

Update. We came back and they do not charge for chips and salsa now. Good job Armando’s!!! Food was delicious! Thank you so much for all you do for small town communities. 5 ⭐

Do NOT (I repeat) DO NOT charge the customer for chips and salsa that THEY did not order… Honestly I would have ordered them anyways, but since this is the going complaint on these reviews I wanted to see for myself if this was true or not and unfortunately it is.
Food was very good, I would give a 5 star on the food. I love celantro and it was evident in the guacamole. Thank you for that. Salsa was on point and prices of entree’s were respectable. $8.50 for chips and salsa that were not asked for were unreasonable.
Service was good. Note to servers: Let us know about your drink specials and what’s in them. I ordered water because of this.
Place looked clean and everyone was very nice.

Salsa was not very good. It was more tomato sauce than a put together salsa. Main dish- fejita enchiladas. Plate was hot to the touch. Tells me they nuked the dish for a few minutes. Never a good sign at a restaurant, but ultimately it comes down to the taste. I got two enchiladas with rice and beans.
Enchiladas- Bland. There was an obscene amount of cheese smothered on top of the enchiladas. Cheese imparted no particular flavor. If I was to compare it to something familiar, it’s like American craft cheese, but white. The enchilada sauce, the thing that makes enchiladas pop, was tasteless. You can see a sliver of red sauce covering the enchiladas, but it could not be tasted. The filling in the enchiladas was sparse. Maybe a slice of a steak and a green pepper cut up per enchilada.

Rice- nothing special.

Beans- nothing special.

For $13 dollars, I was disappointed. I was hoping with the big crowd that I was stepping into a good hole in the wall restaurant. However, I left with an upset stomach. Just…disappointed

I mainly get takeout. Love how fresh everything seems to be prepared, the flavor really comes through and you can taste the different ingredients rather than typical chain Mexican which seems to be the art of hiding everything in hot sauce and cheese. If you are in Clearwater, it is a solid choice if you’re a foodie.
