Authentic taqueria that checks all the boxes. Fresh salsas, oiled tortillas, and loads of flavor. I’ll continue to work my way through the menu but first, I have to eat all the tacos.

You cant really beat this! The food is authentic and it was very reasonably priced. Authentic Mexican food is my favorite and this place does a great job! I will eat here again.

Tried this place on a whim while shopping in the area. As soon as I entered I was immediately greeted and asked how many people, but I explained I wanted to order to go, if possible. My order was quickly taken and the food was ready quick (but not too quick). I live on the Southside and the tacos I ordered were fresh and hot when I got home. THE TACOS ARE AMAZING! The hot sauces and salsa were so fresh and tasty. I cannot believe these tacos are only $3-$4.25 each for as filled and good they were! I will 100% be back!

Tacos were really solid. However this was my steak burrito. I ordered with no pico, but understand that gets missed. Crazy to spend $15 for a rice and pico burrito.

The food was great. The customer service was good I think the person taking orders did not quite understand me and I did not quite understand her but she was still very nice. The atmosphere seemed more like a family atmosphere because the tables were pushed together where if you come to sit down you may be sitting right next to someone else. There were a few booths as well. Overall I do recommend this place still. You’ll love the chicken tacos especially.

This place has surprised me every time I visit. So far the tacos, sopes, tostadas, and the mole have been fantastic. Next thing I want to try is the Caldo de Res and Coctel de camarones, I’m sure it won’t disappoint. Great job Taqueria El Jinete!!!

You know it’s legit when you walk-in to El As De La Sierra blasting by the cooks, soccer matches are on both tvs, are provided a menu that revolves around the staples (Tacos, Burritos, Tortas, and Quesadillas), and see al pastor on a spit.
Al pastor, Tripas, and Chorizo tacos were a 10/10. Salsa Variety ( 4 different kinds) 10/10. Quesadilla de Pollo (10/10). Agua the Horchata (10/10).
Tacos are loaded and made with the best tortillas (El Milagro). I’m a world where tacos are reaching costs of up to $5 each (crazy, I remember when they used to cost $1.50), El Jinetes prices are under that. You can get a taco for $3.50.
Don’t sleep on this place.

I had the Birra tacos with pico & chips and queso. The tacos were ok… The chips I didn’t care for, they tasted a little greasy.

The place was very very clean!!! The food was very very good!!! The service was adequate. All of the sauces were good. I ordered chicken, steak, lengua (tongue) and El Pastor tacos and they were so delicious I had to order more and I was already full lol So then I ordered the Birria, shrimp, and carnitas next and they were so good too!! I’m currently laying down ready for a nap! Highly recommend the steak, El pastor and the carnitas!! Seasoned very well!! I will be back soon…
