We really enjoy the 23rd Street location in McAllen and visit it often. This was our first time trying the brick and mortar spot here in Mission, and my only regret is that we did not come sooner. Everything is just as delicious as the 23rd location with the added bonus of being able to dine inside.
The food was fantastic, and hearing the cooks singing in the kitchen says it all. The papa was served piping hot, my tostadas were incredible, and my wife’s tacos were every bit as flavorful as we have come to expect.
This place is truly underrated. It does not deserve the 3.8 rating it currently has. It deserves at least a 4.5 or 4.6. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and knew the menu well. The chips and salsa were fresh and flavorful, and the charro beans were excellent.
Overall, this is a place that should be full of people every day. We will definitely be back and we will be bringing friends.

The prices are steep but once you look past that the quality of the food is insane. I wish the taco order came with more tacos but other than that the food was amazing.

My first impression was how cool and comfortable the restaurant looked. Props to interior designer! There wasnt many people. Some where outside eating in patio area and some inside. Has booth type seating and regular metal tables and chairs.
The menu was simple and easy to understand. Prices $10 and up mainly that I noticed. They serve chips and 2 types of salsas no dipping type tho… They also gave frijoles a la charra soo good. No combos like other types of taquerias but i got an order of 5 taquitos de bistec en maiz. I loved them! The meat tasted delicous and soft. They were full tacos that meat fell of them. I didnt want to leave anything behind. Also got a papa with evrrything and it was the best ive tasted!
Overall I recommend!!

Trying this place for the first time. I ordered bistec tacos with freshly made corn tortillas. They were delicious. Tacos were full of meat I could barely close the taco, that’s always good in a taco if you ask me. Their charro beans were something else, so yummy and full of flavor. They offer tortilla chips and salsa so you can serve yourself while you wait for your food to be served. Nice patio area to enjoy your food outside. We’ll definitely come back to this place.

“Love at first bite!” Is their motto and it proved very true! We ordered several tacos, tortas and their sampler plate. Everything was delicious. The staff was friendly and very attentive. The place is small, but very clean. What was once a food truck business has become a great eatery in Mission!

This is the third time we’ve come to this restaurant and unfortunately, each time we’ve been served burnt beans. Not slightly overcooked burnt, with a very strong, unpleasant flavor that overpowers the dish.
This time, I finally decided to point it out to our server. To her credit, she brought us a fresh batch of properly cooked beans, which makes it even more frustrating. Clearly, they had good beans in the kitchen, but still served the burnt ones first hoping we wouldn’t notice?
It’s disappointing to feel like quality is being compromised to get rid of bad batches. We had hoped this visit would be different, but it’s hard to return to a place where this kind of thing keeps happening.

This is the 3rd time (far apart) that we visit these tacos. Today we visited the Conway loaction in Mission. We’ve been dissapointed the 3x. Tacos were far from authentic Mexican food. I ordered tacos de maíz en aceite, and the tortillas were hard, nothing like traditional street tacos. The bistec was cold, dry, and very sparse. The grilled onion was also cold and had a mushy, overcooked texture.
My husband ordered the 222 (2 tacos, 2 lonches, and 2 sopes). Unfortunately, there was very little meat, and the sopes didn’t include any beans, which was disappointing.
The one item we did enjoy was the ranchero beans.

Got The Bistec Sincronizada And Boy I Can Only Eat Half It Was Huge And Very Delicious. The Beans Were A Bit On The Spicy Side But Was Cooked Perfectly And Had Balance Of Skin Beans & Spice. Survives Was Amazing. I Saw A Food Truck On The Wall I Wonder If This Place Started As A FoodTruck If So They’ve Came A Long Way.
With Out A Doubt I Can Highly Recommend This Place For Mexican Food & Good Vibes Where You Can Eat Outside With A Cool Breeze Flowing Through.
