Wife and I stopped in here for a quick coffee and a little sweet as we were waiting for the Chriskindlemarkt to open.
My espresso was strong, and the wife’s cappuccino was silky smooth. The biscotti we had to go with it were crunchy almond with a chocolate bottom to them. Very good for dunking, very, very crunchy otherwise.
Seating and inside is eclectwith a vintage style. Impressed that they had both a Gaggia and San Remo machines.
Very cool that they used an older aperitivo bottle for their water service.
Waiter was good, and gave us some tips for the area.

A very pleasant little place for breakfast and a quick lunch. The staff is very polite and professional. The cafe has a very European feel. The food is delicious and the coffee is incredible.

Met a friend here for coffee, and it was such a wonderful experience from start to finish. The coffee was incredible—rich, smooth, and clearly made with care. The staff were so warm and friendly, and the atmosphere is just amazing—inviting, artistic, and full of charm.
As we were checking out, we asked about one of their Gaggia espresso machines from Italy, and the owner—who happened to be sitting nearby—kindly joined the conversation. He couldn’t have been more gracious, friendly, or knowledgeable. It’s rare to find a place that combines great coffee, genuine people, and such a unique vibe. Eggshell Bistro is truly one of a kind!

I have been a few times. The food is quite tasty, the shakshuka is great. However, the service is very slow. There was a long wait at each step, so not only did my meal take way longer than anticipated, but at least twice my coffee was cool by the time my food arrived. You can’t go here if you have anything happening after your meal. Once, there was only one staff member and it was difficult to get the check to pay when we were ready to finally leave. The staff is quite nice.

Got introduced to this place by a friend and excited to add this to my list of “must try” places in Carmel/Indy. Service and food were excellent, ingredients tasted fresh and portion was just the right amount. I had the portobello strata with a latte, would recommend you do too! As Arnold would say, “I’ll be back!”

Very bougie breakfast place. Not your average bacon and eggs breakfast! If you’re looking for something different and full of flavour, I highly recommend coming here. Their menu is very European/Mediterranean-ey. We ordered multiple items to get a taste of everything and it was all delectable. The coffee was also superb. Made fresh and to order! I loved the decoration and vibe of the restaurant. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu 🙂

4 starts for Shakshuka only because we don’t like spicy food, but otherwise it was delicious. Also they have fresh squeezed orange juice which is so rare to find for breakfast. Coffee was good

Great food; however, unlikely to return. Unless you have 1-2 hours to spend waiting on your breakfast then go for it. My mom and I went together one morning and there were maybe three other tables at the time of either parties of 1 or 2. Cute environment, but no sense of urgency in terms of table service, staff spent more time just chatting behind the counter than checking in on tables or giving an update that our food would take over an hour to reach the table.
