Hands down the best Japanese curry and Katsu I had. The Katsu was perfect, thick juicy and crispy. Curry savory umami, went with mild, might kick it up a notch next time. Will definitely be back

I tried the pork cutlet curry at this Japanese curry house and it was excellent. The curry was rich and flavorful, and the pork cutlet was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside yet tender and juicy inside. The fresh salad on the side added a nice balance, making the whole meal feel just right. Definitely a dish worth recommending!

This fills a void we have in Arcadia – authentic Japanese curry!

We had the beef curry (med spicy), pork belly curry (med spicy) and the hayashi rice.

The wait was a quick 10 minutes at 6:30pm on a Friday evening, but I’m sure that’ll change when people catch onto this place.

The curry is complex, which deep earthy spice notes and a slight sweetness that Japanese curry often has. Both our dishes were medium spicy, and I’d say that was an accurate heat level. The beef was very tender but short of falling apart if you look at it wrong. The pork belly held together more and was a little on the leaner side.

The hayashi rice is a favorite of mine and not enough people know what it is. It’s a dish with thinly sliced fatty beef (think gyydon or beef bowl like Yoshinoya) cooked in a rich demi glace sauce. It’s sweet, savory, and slightly acidic.

All of our dishes came with miso soup and a salad. The portions were great.

The employees were friendly and attentive. Very impressive service for a soft opening!

Will definitely come back!

A great addition to the Santa Anita Mall. This place offers delicious Japanese curry and other nice options. The interior is clean and staff are very friendly. The food is tasty and authentic, decent portions and leaves you satisfied. Great place to grab a bite to eat in the mall.

Got the pork katsu curry. At $24 it’s definitely pricey for what it is, but the portion is generous and it comes with salad and miso soup. For $4 more they have an XL size, but they were sold out when I went. The standard size is very filling I was absolutely stuffed. Was hoping the XL would be good to split half for another meal later. I got medium spicy curry and it was not spicy at all, so I’ll definitely level up next time. The katsu was thick and crispy. Curry was very rich in flavors. Overall a good meal. I ordered it to go and they separately packed everything so it was nice and fresh when I got home, nothing was soggy. I will definitely come back again.

A bit small on the inside, but the interior looked very nice! Best for smaller groups, like 1-4 people.

I’ve never seen hayashi rice on a menu and I’ve been very curious on trying it. Definitely loved it! I might prefer to get this than the regular curry. The pork katsu was yummy, breaded great and was thick compared to many other places! Curry comes in different spice levels: mild, medium, spicy, extra spicy. We got spicy and it is spicier than most Japanese restaurants have it (a good surprise!). There are 2 spicy condiments on the table (red and green cap). I’ve loved the green one!

At the time of going to this restaurant, there weren’t any high chairs for kids, just a FYI. I also wasn’t contacted when there was an available table, but I chalk it up to them figuring out their system since they’re new.

Great Japanese curry!
I had the pork katsu curry spicy.
The small salad was delicious, and we also had onigiri and my favorite was the tuna mayo!
We also had the boneless chicken wings karaage. Thumbs up. Everything was super delicious.

We went during their soft opening (mid August), where everything was 20% off. Ordered the beef curry set and chicken curry set. Both were good, but we waited at least 30 minutes on a Thursday before we got our meals, and they were not that busy. We may go back again before the end of the month to take advantage of the 20% off pricing, but we will not visit once the regular prices kick in. Why? We don’t believe Pork Katsu Curry should cost $24, or Beef Curry at $20, or Chicken Curry at $18. That is just way over what we expect to pay locally, and there are a few places in SGV that are equally good, but cost much less. I hope management would consider setting their pricing lower, otherwise you will have much less customers.
