I love this place! Food is always good and hot when you order it. I like to try the different foods. The chicken sandwich was amazing and had large portions. The 2 stuffed churros were sweet and soft with a gooey center and cinnamony/sugar outside. The green beans were also really good; tender without being mushy and the buttery sauce was light and mild without feeling oily.

The atmosphere is nice, with plenty of seating. Christian music plays softly overhead, enough that you can listen if you want but its not distracting during conversations either. There are booths and long rows of tables to fit larger groups. Never had any trouble finding a spot to sit. The employees are quick to ask what you want and are happy to explain the different options if you ask. You can’t really go wrong with the desserts. The chicken is perfectly seasoned and cooked well that the meat is tender and easy to eat.

We’ve been to Inca Grill before and decided to give this place a try. The service was great. The co-owner took good care of us as we wanted to try a little bit of everything. We enjoyed the lomo saltado which is great at both places. We were disappointed with the Bistec A Lo Pobre, as it lacked flavor. The chimichurri sauce wasn’t flavorful as I have had before. The egg was overdone, which I think should add to the dish. However, the sides were still great. Everything else was delicious. I really liked how they have the sauces. The empanadas where great!

If you have never had Puruvian food before, this is the best place to go to and try a variety. If you like it and want more adventurous foods, I’d recommend you then try Inca Grill downtown.

I would like to come back and try the lomo saltado with noodles, churros, and the flan.

I’ve given this place three chances because the food is genuinely good, but each visit has been overshadowed by shockingly poor customer service. Not once have I encountered a friendly employee here. The staff consistently come across as annoyed, dismissive, and lacking even basic manners. Simple courtesies like “thank you” or “you’re welcome” seem completely absent.

Two employees in particular stood out for all the wrong reasons: a short man with facial hair and glasses, and a taller brunette woman. Both were especially unpleasant, responding to customers with visible irritation and short, dismissive attitudes that made it clear they didn’t want to be there.

While waiting for my order during my last visit, I watched them interact with several customers who were being perfectly polite and friendly, yet they were met with the same scoffing and annoyed behavior. It was honestly embarrassing to watch.

It’s unfortunate because the food is good, but the atmosphere created by the staff makes the experience unpleasant. If I owned this establishment, I would be investing heavily in customer service training. Unfortunately, the consistently poor attitude from the employees is the sole reason I won’t be returning.

So soooo good! I had the Tacu Tacu with Chicken Saltado. The sauce is delicious and the chicken was amazing. I loved the Tacu Tacu rice and beans as well. Would absolutely come back in a heartbeat.

After two dine-in visits and one takeout order, I’ve had great experiences every time. The food quality is consistent with delicious flavors, tasty sides, and reasonable prices. It’s also a great spot for large groups. The atmosphere is pleasant; it has the clean, comfortable, and well-maintained feel of a high-end food chain, but with the added bonus of authentic, high-quality Peruvian cuisine.

Edit: Wow this place just keeps getting better came by for lunch again and tried my favorite thing yet! The Chicarron Sandwich which is a pork belly sandwich. Such juicy and flavorful cuts of meat with a huge portion! I put the Yellow sauce (Spicy Aji) and it was perfect. I’m so full and happy!

Edit: I came for a third time to try the burritos. It was massive and full of fresh ingredients. Can’t even compare to chipotle because it’s completely different flavors and ingredients. You can build your own or they have Colcas Chicken burrito that has a premade recipe. I went for this and I am very glad I did. I highly recommend and can’t wait to come back and try something else!

Edit: I came for a second time and tried the Lomo Tallarin. It’s noodles with Beef, peppers, tomatoes and onions. It was cooked perfectly and the beef was delicious. It had massive portions to. Personal preference would have been adding more of the ginger and garlic to add a stronger flavor. It has soy sauce and that kind of took over all the flavor of the dish. I would give this dish 4/5 but I think it’s mostly personal preference.

My anticipation has been rising as I had heard people talk about Colcas. Finally was on this side of town to try it. They blew all of my anticipation out of the water. The staff was very helpful and attentive with recommendations and I settled on the Pollo a la brasa with the half chicken. I tried the plantains and potato’s for my sides. I was then happy to hear they make their own sauces in house. Everything was cooked perfectly and FULL of delicious flavors. My favorite sauce was the green jalapeño I could not get enough of it. It’s probably safe for my bank account that I live on the other side of town because I would eat here way too much. Excited to bring my wife here on a date. Thanks so much for bringing new and delicious food to LYH!

Move over LaCa and Chipotle!!! We have a local grill in town that will take over as our #1! Colca’s is absolutely delicious! You can order burritos, tacos, and bowls made to order in front of you or order from the charcoal grill and wait a very few minutes for an authentic Peruvian dish! And OMG the sauces! Completely different from anything we’ve had before! Makes me want to put Peru on my vacay list!
