First off, they have a unique and delicious take on the Orange Chicken! You must order it if you haven’t been here before. Secondly, all three of the employees I interacted with only speak Spanish and will put forth absolutely no effort in speaking in English. First server got frustrated and handed us off to another server. The egg drop soup was much better than the sweet and sour soup was. And the noodles were better than the broccoli beef. The price point is a little high, although the portions were very generous.

Their wor wonton soup and beef vegetable soup showcased the restaurant’s commitment to fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. I’d highly recommend them to anyone craving a comforting, flavorful Chinese soup.

Food tasted good and it was my first time there. But i was expecting more, there was a huge menu so not sure what to pick. Place seems out dated needs an upgrade to be great.

Hello Itsme Bear
I have been here a couple of times & on this visit, the food was a bit off. We ordered three separate dishes as we couldn’t decide what to eat. The three dish sauces were very similar in taste. The Orange Chicken sauce is just ok, it was dark, and it had no sweetness to it.
The dishes were well served.
I will come back in hopes that it was the “cook” that was a bit off on his game today not actually the food that has lost its quality.

I’m still frowning thinking about my recent visit to Emperor Garden Chinese Restaurant. The experience was a total letdown.

– *Food*: Overpriced . Dishes lacked the authentic flavors I crave from Chinese cuisine.
– *Customer Service*: Our server seemed to vanish into thin air. Cashier for closing out table is rude .
– *Prices*: Shockingly high for the quality (or lack thereof) provided.

Until they address these issues, I’d suggest steering clear.

Absolutely delicious and service is phenomenal. Portion sizes are huge. We tried a little bit of everything. Appetizers: chicken lettuce wraps (divine), steamed dumplings, and popcorn shrimp. Entrees: schezuan chicken (our daughter loved this dish the best), lemon chicken (very good, highly recommend), pepper steak, beef lo mein, and vegetable.fried rice. Our bill came out to $130 without tip. Our glasses were refilled constantly, staff is extremely attentive. We will be trying the buffet they have in the southside as well.

Hands down, one of the best Chinese restaurants in Laredo. The last time we went to Emperor’s Garden was when it was still a Buffet, which was acceptable but nothing impressive. The place is no longer offering buffet, but OMG I was impressed by the quality of food, the portions and the price. To drink we got Iced tea, which you can refill for free and as appetizer we got the Gyozas (steamed), they were soft and full of flavor (if you pour in a little bit of Chili oil, the flavor gets way better). Also we ordered the Cashew chicken, which was the perfect mix between salty and sweet, we enjoyed it a lot. Additionally decided to go for one of the vegetarian options in the menu (which apparently are vegan as well since they don’t contain egg or dairy), the Szechuan Tofu was outstanding, even if you’re not vegetarian, I highly recommend to try it, you won’t be disappointed. The Szechuan Tofu comes with zucchini, carrots and green bell peppers, which makes the dish to be nutritiously balanced. All of the dishes were very well served in terms of portions, and every dish includes white rice. The service was pretty fast, the atmosphere was very peaceful, it felt even a bit romantic. The place looks clean and prices are accessible. Another thing worth to mention is that you can get a 2% of discount from the total ticket if you pay in cash. They also sell their Chili oil in big bottles for $20 or so. We’ll come back to try out the other dishes.

Today 1.9.25 12p I ordered orange chicken to go and got this. It was Too Red, and it was not that good either, I remember from last year it was really good and the sauce was actually orange looking. I called and asked y me dijieron que si era Orange Chicken. POS as I am writing this at 4:06p estoy en mi 3ra vez d ir al Baño! Nunca Jamas to eat there. I got sick of my stomach!!! Very Disappointed Emperor Garden…

Absolutely horrible customer service. Gave us pork and shrimp when we only asked for chicken. Will call you a liar if you call about an incorrect order. They only said they would help us if we brought all the old food back. Why to serve it to someone else? Ridiculous
