Let’s give this place some more recognition! There’s a drive thru if you’d like to use it (which I have never seen a Chinese restaurant with a drive thru I think it’s super neat). I always go in to talk to the owner. She is extremely nice and hardworking, and a good cook. The food is flavourful and reminds me of the food I used to have at home. There’s no seating inside so it’s exclusively takeout. Flavors are great. Prices are also extremely reasonable. Whenever I’m in the area and need a quick bite this is my Chinese restaurant of choice.

We just ordered delivery from her. One$100 worth of food. 2 sesame chicken combos, 1 General Tso Conbo a beef and broccoli and a shrimp in garlic sauce. Hardly any was ate because everything tasted like fish. Apparently they fry fish and chicken in the same oil. No, I didn’t call because I wasn’t going to go back out to take the food back. But, lesson learned. DO NOT NOTORDER FROM HERE! Oh. The shrimp did not taste fishy.

Chu’s Express is an asian restaurant servicing TAKE OUT ONLY. Located in High Point, this restaurant occupies the corner location of the Center Stage shopping mall. The place was clean and the pleasant lady at the front offered good customer service. The fold was ready in less than 10 mins. I will give props to this place for one thing though…..this was the most neatly packaged take out order……ever. I know my food is not spilling out of the box. A+++ for packaging. This location also has a drive through window. So you can literally call them and pick up the order without going inside the store. Food tasted good and very reasonably priced.

We’ve lived here a year and have been wanting to try this restaurant; it’s so close. Not sure we’ll be back. I ordered cashew chicken, pork with vegetables, and some Vegetable Lo Mein. Two people came in a while after me, they got their food just before me. That kind of ticked me off. But I figured I would simmer down and just try the food. Both my husband and I felt the food was not amazing. I mean, I hate to say this, but if I want Chinese food, I may have to get it at Panda Express. I wanted to like it. I’ve been a long-time customer of Chu’s Express and have always given them raving reviews for their food and service. Unfortunately, all of that changed today.
On the evening of 7/25, I placed my usual order around 7:25 PM while heading home to Winston-Salem: the Hot Spicy Chicken Combination with plain fried rice (no vegetables) and a vegetable roll instead of a spring roll. This is exactly how I’ve ordered many times in previous orders, and the staff has always been careful to double-check with me.
When I got home and opened my order, I was shocked to find pork fried rice. I called immediately and gave my ticket number. The first person said, “Oh, when you say no vegetables, we just give pork fried rice without vegetables.” I explained again that I specifically asked for plain fried rice -no vegetables.
I was put on hold, and another person (who said she took the order) came to the phone. She offered no apology, just said I could bring the plate back and they’d remake it. I let her know I was already back in Winston-Salem and probably wouldn’t make it back before they closed. Her response? “Any day we’re open tomorrow or Sunday.” That was it.
This wasn’t a missing condiment, this was an order that I couldn’t eat, due to a clear dietary restriction. The lack of ownership, empathy, or effort to make it right was incredibly disappointing.
I’ve recommended Chu’s to so many people, and I’ve had nothing but positive experiences until today. But tonight, I felt dismissed and inconvenienced and that’s not the Chu’s I’ve known and supported all these years. Nor will it be the chus I drive 25 plus minutes for again.
That young lady cost you a longtime customer. A simply apology goes a long way.

This was my first time eating here, I was visiting my grandmother and she told me about this place so I went there to pick up lunch for us and hunny I can say this place has the freshest broccoli and the freshest meats and everything was HOT even on the drive home. I will most definitely be going back here everytime i come visit my granny.

The food at the other Chu Express on Westchester is a 1000% better then this one , we just got kung pao chicken was watered down not spicy and chicken lo mein had no taste and egg rolls had a lot of grease coming out , All 3 stunk will not be returning to this location

$9.25 for a very small amount of Beef w/chinese veg. The size for the price makes no sense. i guess we have start going to China Capital on North Main from now on. Such a shame, that they are so skimpy.
