This place is one of Lake Charles most missed places. The authentic Mexican food is great, service is amazing, and the atmosphere is fun and inviting. The staff works hard to make sure everyone has a great experience. They go out of their way to celebrate birthdays and special occasions. The food is exemplary with their seasoning and presentation and I would consider it great Tex-Mex in Louisiana. They have amazing drinks, their blueberry martini is their specialty drink and is divine. Mango margaritas are bomb too. Staff is friendly and welcoming.

This place looks very nice inside. We were greeted with a beautiful atmosphere, smiles from the hostess, and noticeably cool air conditioning! Our server was great and the food was good. We had about 20 people in our party and the time between order and food to table was minimal. I took a few pictures but didn’t get the chance to take all. No one had any complaints regarding their food choices. I had the burger as well as 2 others. For my palate, I would have wanted the ground beef seasoned. The other two patrons did not seem to notice. I would definitely return. Oh and they take reservations!!

This was my first time to visit Pedro’s. It was very nice inside. We met our large party. We were greeted promptly and shown to her table. We were approached very quickly and provided a menu and I ordered a flight of margaritas, my husband ordered a Dos XX on draft, one child ordered a water, and one child ordered a sweet tea. We received our drinks, I ordered a regular frozen margarita, the blue curca, sangria, and watermelon maragrita. The watermelon was by far my favorite of the bunch. We all ordered our food. I ordered the fajita trio, my husband ordered shrimp enchiladas, my oldest child ordered chicken wings, and my youngest child ordered some tortillas and wanted some of my beans and rice. The food came out quickly and it was hot. I tasted all of our dishes and they were good. I was disappointed in only having one (1) shrimp in my fajitas. I normally don’t eat the chicken, but it was wonderful. I don’t know what they marinated it with, but it was juicy and great. The steak was a bit tough for me personally. My husband’s enchiladas were good. My children never eat chips and salsa at any Mexican restaurants, they complain of the spice level. Both children liked the salsa. After everything was done my oldest child wanted dessert. She ordered a fried ice cream. She loved it. I tried a bite and the crust was great! We will go back, but I will say, the prices are a tad higher than I would have liked to pay.

Service was excellent and the food was outstanding. Our server was patient as we explored the hefty menu and was really helpful. All the staff was friendly and welcoming. It’s a great place for large groups with many large open spaces. Seating is comfortable and the restrooms are clean. The food was flavorful, hot, and presented well. Overall we had a great experience. The location is easy to find and they have plenty of parking.

Chips were hot and fresh. Salsa was very good in terms of taste but it was cold -like straight from the refrigerator cold. Just a FYI. My hubby and I shared the steak Mexican Street Tacos. They were a little on the dry side and didn’t have a lot of flavor to speak of. My teen daughter got the chicken quesadilla. She said it was “mid”. Not bad just not necessarily good either. My son got the beef burrito. He said it had ground beef in it and was pretty tasty. He gave it a 7/10.
We found it a little more costly compared to competitors in the area but not a big deal if the quality would have been there. Overall, it was an average experience. We probably won’t go back considering there are better Mexican restaurants in town.

My new favorite mexican restaurant. The food was amazing. They make the tortillas! too bad I live 2,500 miles away. The drinks were also great! If you are in town, definitely stop here.

If your at Lake Charles this restaurant is not far from the casinos. The food was amazing and there margaritas where excellent. The atmosphere was definitely so welcoming from the hostage to the waitress. They are very attentive the food comes out fresh. Highly recommend to stop by and visit.

4/8/2025 – My daughter and I had a lunch date here today. Everything was spot on!! We ordered Arnold Palmers for our drinks and they were perfect! My daughter ordered the mixed fajitas and I ordered the shredded chicken chimichanga. Both entrees arrived so quickly and our waitress, Divie, was the absolute best! She was kind and considerate. Her attention to our table was remarkable. We didn’t even have to ask for anything. The ONLY issue I have, and this is up to the owner to fix, the price of an order of “small queso” is $5.99. Well, that was fine until they brought out the SMALLEST BOWL ever!! That was our only problem. We will definitely be back!! Thank you Divie for the excellent service!!

We started with the Charro Bean soup as an appetizer, and it was absolutely delicious. The chips and salsa were equally delicious. Then we had our entrees. The Pollo Loco, mixed fajitas, and a combination dinner were ordered. The plates came out in record timing, and we were delighted. The food was absolutely amazing. Nothing was overcooked, so on the food. The only issue was the server. She forgot a few things from our order and had some bad habits (reaching over our plates and drinks), but she was sweet nonetheless. All in all, it was a great experience, and we will definitely go back!!

One thing i can say they treat people like human beings without the spoiled rotten mantality of american young people. Its refreshing. The food is deliciously fresh. That grand margarita is tight. We’ve barely started going there, and they treat us like family. I can’t help but get the sample platter. Dang that’s good. This is an add on to my review. The food is stupendous. After you learn what your ordering and they still treat me as family.
