I visited Phat Girlz today for the first time. I had been hearing good things about it but never had the chance to visit until today. I ordered the 2 meat plate with rib tips, chopped brisket, baked beans, and potato salad. I was a little disappointed at first with seeing the baked beans bc I thought they were the traditional baked beans I’m used to. The taste threw all my disappointment out of the door. Everything was tasty. I loved the potato salad. It tastes better than what my mom makes. For me to say that, it has to be damn good bc my mom makes the best potato salad. I was so impressed with the food that I’m going back tomorrow!

I stopped here today to give it a try and was not disappointed at all. In fact I am actually proud of this place!! I got the 2 meat plate with chopped brisket and sausage, baked beans and green beans. At first, the baked beans looked different but that first bite told me everything I needed to know about this place. The green beans were on point. And finally that brisket was so delicious and juicy. I will be back to see what their ribs are about!! Keep up the great ladies ❤️

My husband and I were excited to try the food after seeing multi TikToks. We took it back home and unfortunately our brisket was overly salted. I could only take one bite of my baked potato. We understand that sometimes things happen so we brought it back and politely expressed it was too salty. My husband was reprimanded on their seasoning process. He expressed it’s not about flavor but inedible food due to the over consumption of salt. Good for the others that were able to consume good food and customer service. We didn’t experience either.

A creative culinary bbq experience. Kind folk and wish them well. A bit pricey. All foods had their own unique flavors and intense flavoring. Some were very good like the bakes beans, green beans, and macaroni and cheese. The chicken and brisket were overpowered with flavoring to the point of quickly tiring the taste buds. We tried the banana pudding and were surprised by the butterscotch pudding, not vanilla. To some, this was very good, and to others, a total rejection. In summary, we love local small places like this one. We liked some of the sides, but if the main entree is not satisfying, then it is reason not to be one of our regular go tos.

So, who cares if they can’t spell. When your Texas Style BBQ is this good, spelling doesn’t matter.
The ribs literally fall off the bone, and the brisket is so tender you can cut it with a plastic fork, spoon, or spork.
There isn’t a dining room. It’s more of a take out joint, but you can enjoy your order at one of their picnic tables.
So, next time you want a little radiation (Cedar Hill is Radio Tower Central), try Phat Girlz. It’s abundantly awesome.

I ordered the 2 meat plate via Uber eats. Everything is seasoned to perfection, the ribs are tender and don’t even require the extra sauce, sides are great and the cookie pudding was the bomb. The strawberry lemonade was also good and refreshing. I am completely stuffed because the food was so good.

Best Texas BBQ I’ve had thus far! Moved to the Cedar Hill area recently & have had atleast 4 BBQ spots since…none of them compare to the 5th PHAT GIRLZ BBQ! Big portions and Big Flavor! Ordered a cookie pudding and she was so kind as to make one one for me right then and there!

Love Phat Girlz BBQ. The ladies are always kind there. Chubby Girl potato with rib tips, brisket and links was absolutely perfect!!! And the peach Cobbler is about to make me go back and get more if they aren’t out. It’s sooooo good!!!! I have also tried the smoked chicken salad before. They were sold out today when I got there unfortunately. The smokiness takes the chicken salad up levels! Last but not least the strawberry lemonade is very refreshing!

Ok, this was my first time coming here and I got a 2 meat plate (ribs and sausage) that comes with 2 sides of your choice. I got potatoe salad and mac and cheese. The plate comes with pickles, onions and toast. I also got some green beans that has potatoes and smoke turkey in it, smoked chicken salad peach cobbler and homemade strawberry lemonade. The meat was good! The sides were just ok but I have yet to find a BBQ spot in DFW that has both good bbq and good sides. The bbq sauce was regular, the Mac and cheese taste like it has cream of mushroom in it, the potatoe salad was not good to me at all and the green beans was ok but again nothing special. The smoked chicken salad is good but to sweet for my liking. The peach cobbler is good and the strawberry lemonade is good! I will definitely give them another try so I can try their baked potatoes!
