1st time coming into this establishment after a couple of weeks of looking for the right barbque spot in this area.. Let me tell you, it did NOT dissappoint! As i walked in and looked at the wall menu, i was greeted with a friendly “Hello” from the register who is known as “mama”. Very sweet and gentle lady who took my order and let me take my time as it was my 1st try. I requested a 1/4 lb of marbled brisket and also sausage and mac n cheese. The brisket was moist and not dry one bit, the sausage was also . I been to alot of bar b que spots and they always say the sausage is smoked but when you bite into the Smith Spot BBQ sausage, you actually taste the smoke. The sausage had a nice snap to it when biting it and i believe the kitchen dusted some xtra seasoning on the sausage and brisket to give it an extra kick! The extra seasoning was not overpowering and it gave the food that extra “pop” that you look for that sets this store aside from the rest. The mac and cheese tho, pasta was cooked perfectly as it almost dissovles and blends with the cheese in your mouth. Very flavorful, not sure if it was homemade but i could be convinced. Definetly will return soon to try more items.
The establishment is also looking for some talent to sing on their stage. The oustide patio looked peaceful as well and spacious.

Oh my! What a treat! The brisket melts in your mouth like butter, the sausage was not only spot on, it left me wanting to know what brand this is! The mac & cheese was really good and the coleslaw was tangy and very enjoyable, making me wanting a 2nd helping!
And then, there’s the banana pudding… I’m totally shaking my head at the quality of the food and the flavors from this restaurant! We will definitely be back soon!

This place is legit!! Been twice so far and have tried the Lady Mel, outstanding! The ribs, great smoky flavor, juicy as can be, cooked with cherry and the flavor is out of this world. Best Mac and cheese I I have ever had at any BBQ joint HANDS DOWN! Came for customer appreciation today and got The Nephew which was a special item from the 2025 State Fair. A brisket sandwich with glazed donuts as buns sooo good. My son got the brisket nachos, which he inhaled. Their banana pudding is to die for, and all the staff is so kind a friendly! Highly recommend this place!!

Home. I felt welcomed and was family fed. I mean like your great Aunt who thinks you’re too skinny family fed. This food had me dancing in my chair with every perfect BBQ bite. I ordered the baked potato with brisket. It was a beautiful mountain of flavor. I had beans on the side like no other beans I’ve ever had. They were so so good. Red Kool Aid to drink! If you know, you know. Then peach cobbler that I’m pretty sure was made just for me, ok so maybe they do make it for everyone else too. Bottom line: Go get you some Bbq.

I’ve had bbq all over the country. This is hands down the absolute best brisket. And the ribs. AND the mac n cheese.
We got food for 20 people at the warehouse and Mr and Mrs Smith had it ready in no time. EVERYONE loved it and we are now struggling to finish working today.

I just ordered they was decent but the sides I don’t know what was going on with the potato salad It had way too much mustard and not fresh the peach cobbler like it had something of too much in it to might be cinnamon the greens had a season in that didn’t even supposed to be in it either. It just wasn’t good threw it all away I was so excited to try it because the Reviews were really good, but it was a disappointment and I tipped 27.00 waisted

Omg! Where has this been all my life! Finally a FLAVORFUL bbq joint! It’s our 3rd time here, I’m just looking forward to the next decade of coming here. Owners are super friendly. Outside seating is shaded and comfy. And bonus: you can small the smoke from the smoker.
Finally found a Brisket that smoky, tender, and juicy! It’s given up on finding juicy Brisket. Mest mac-n-cheese. My husband said the greens took him back to his childhood.

Decided to see what the square in Garland had for restaurants and stumbled across this gem. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with smiling faces and a welcoming atmosphere. The menu had plenty of options and I decided to try the Mel’s sandwich while my girlfriend tried the chipped brisket. Our food was made to order and the owner told me the Mac and cheese (although always good) was extra right today. We waited for our food and read some of the local magazine articles they’ve been in getting excited to try what we had ordered. Food was exceptionally made and the flavor was out of this world. One of the juiciest, most flavorful brisket sandwiches either of us had ever had. The Mac and cheese with it was the icing on the cake. We’ll definitely be back and will be telling friends and family about it!
