We went with a friend of ours from Thailand and he knew the owner/chef Jen. She made us a special dinner and the food was AMAZING! The presentation of the food and the way it tasted was also amazing. Can’t wait to go back. Wouldn’t think twice about recommending this spot to someone.
A++ in my book!

Best Thai food around, I’ve eaten here many times and have tried many dishes. Service is excellent, staff is friendly and very reasonable prices. This is authentic Thai food, so if you are looking for genuine Thai dishes, this is the place to go. And it is very clean – the restaurant, the restrooms, and the environment.

For starters, these are my favorites: Chicken Satay, Thai Spring Roll, Papaya Salad, Crying Tiger Salad.

Main dishes….Thai Pho is delicious! And for all you broth lovers, (the secret to a great broth is to simmer it a long time and allow all the flavors and spices to marry) this heavenly noodle soup is a complete meal in itself! Because you get such a large portion, you can enjoy it for breakfast or lunch the next few days. It is a huge serving! Once it hits your lips, it’s so good!

A favorite of mine….Pad Thai is off the hook. I usually get one to go for lunch and dinner the next day. Chicken Basil is excellent as well. As is the Fried Rice and Chicken Curry. One of the things I really like and am impressed about with this place is that the dishes are always consistent and the food is fresh. And, for all the vegetarians out there, they can substitute with tofu or vegetables. (I told my aunt, who is a vegetarian, about this place, and she loved it).

Some other items to try…..The Sticky Rice. Try it! And the Mango Sticky Rice. Also, the Thai Iced Tea is a unique beverage.

Finally, very classy restaurant! I would recommend this to anyone who likes to venture out and try different food. It is on my list of favorites and I am very picky about where I eat! Like I said earlier, this is AUTHENTIC Thai food, love, love, love it!!

My wife and I went for lunch with great anticipation after reading reviews. I’m not an authority, but we’ve been to ten area restaurants serving Thai food (within driving distance, many times for most of them) and more in other places.

The host/waitress was very pleasant, the decor attractive, and the ethnic music agreeable. We went there, however, to learn about the food.

Before experimenting with special dishes, we comparison taste by trying standard dishes. If an American restaurant can’t make a hamburger, the rest of the menu is probably not worth eating. We ordered vegetable spring rolls, Pad Thai, and a curry with a coconut sauce. They don’t offer soup, except as a full entrée, so we could not order Tom Yum Goong or Tom Kar Gal.

• Spring rolls: dense and dry; flavor was mild, but not unpleasant.
• Pad Thai: a little greasy, too salty, a lot of noodles, enough chicken, and 3 of 5 spice level not very hot.
• Curry: plenty of rice, enough coconut sauce, almost enough vegetables, not much tofu, too salty, and 2 of 5 spice level not noticeable.

Spending almost $23 without tax and tip for lunch did not seem worthwhile. There are tastier alternatives for a little less money, or a lot more money. I won’t mention where – you do your own tasting. My wife commented, “You don’t know if you don’t try it.”

SO EXCITED TO FIND THAI PHO. I hope this place stays in business, because it’s easily one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve ever been to – & I’ve lived in a ton of places, including America’s Thai restaurant capital (OK, & its regular capitol), D.C. Thai Pho is the real deal, & this ish is GOOD.

I was originally going to order the Basil Chicken, but when I asked our server if it was the same as chicken kaprow, my favorite Thai dish, she said no. I was a little confused because it seemed relatively similar – but then she explained to me that what most American Thai restaurants call kaprow is really not, that it’s an Americanized version (& that yes, the Basil Chicken was THAT). Lucky for me, they had real kaprow that day as a special; she said they don’t always have it because authentic Thai basil is hard to come by here.

It wasn’t what I was expecting – guess those other Thai places have been fooling me! – but it was damn delicious. Grounded chicken with onions & Thai basil & a rice – usually comes with a fried egg on top, but they made it without at my request. It was the best I think I’ve ever had, made just to my liking, & I wish I’d said so to the chef when she came out to ask how everything was.

My only concern is that we were the ONLY people in the place, so I’m not sure how they’re doing. I plan to keep returning to do my part to keep them in business. If you want authentic Thai in the Akron area, this is your best choice.

Very happy we found Thai Pho today. Restaurant was clean and comfortable, service was friendly and knowledgeable. The pho was great, we had one vegetarian and one beef, both were delicious and exactly what we were looking for. We will definitely be back.

Came out over the summer to visit my father and we came here. Everything was delicious- from the spring rolls, to the pad thai, to the thai iced tea. The owner/chef came out to make sure everything was satisfactory. Huge portion sizes too. Next time I’m in the area, I will return.

Authentic Thai! Yay! I lived in Thailand for about a year and know good Thai… This is good Thai. I would recommend Som Tum, Larb (with beef instead of chicken), Satay Chicken, and Pad Thai. Very good. (Oh! And have some Thai tea too!)

Fantastic and authentic Thai food. Offers 5 levels of heat; I love hot and spicy but I can only handle up to a level 3.

The food has been very good every time I’ve gone. I do worry about the cleanliness though. The building smells of wet basement. Hopefully that problem has been resolved since my last visit.
