My husband and I recently celebrated our 15-year wedding anniversary here, and this place did not disappoint. From the intimate, cozy atmosphere to the excellent service and delicious cuisine—everything was absolute perfection. We can’t wait to return!

This was our first time visiting New Hope, and with so many food recommendations from friends and family, we were overwhelmed with choices. We decided on Zoubi, and it ended up being our favorite spot of the trip—surprisingly, no one had recommended this gem to us!

The food was amazing, but the true standout (and the reason we’ll be recommending Zoubi first to anyone who asks) is the ambiance. Cozy, intimate, and romantic, with a magical garden setting, chandeliers, and glowing candle lights, it felt like a hidden escape.

Had reservations with a friend on Friday at 6:30pm. Place is small and was really busy so took like 10mins before we were seated. Very a cute little restaurant, feels like eating in a garden.

Staff was friendly. Service was a little slow because it was so busy. Got 2 cocktails which were both excellent. Flavor combos were great, not too sweet, and drinks were boozy.

There’s complimentary bread that comes to the table which was focaccia with truffle butter and a sundried tomato spread. Very delicious I really enjoyed the subtle hint of truffle from the butter and the sundried tomato was so full of flavor. The bread was awesome.

We shared the cheeseboard and it had a great assortment of cheese and jams. The bread was crispy exterior and soft interior. Olives had a nice pickled kick to it and the pears were delicious.

For entrees I got the lamb. Cooked perfectly at medium rare with an amazing crust. I really enjoyed it with the potato and lamb side and the sauce just added more delicious flavor.

For dessert we got the peach cobbler which came with cinnamon ice cream which was amazing. Definitely felt like it was more of an apple cobbler since it had more apples than peaches but either way it was delicious.

Zoubi is a stunning restaurant, an amazing experience all around. I love that the menu changes with the season and all plates were clearly well thought out. Definitely worth the price point and we will be back!

Food (5/5): The fresh bread and truffle butter was some of the best bread and butter I’ve ever had. Additionally, the cheese board was the best cheeseboard I’ve ever had. My husband ordered the crusted tuna and I ordered the steak. I did not like the flavoring of the steak and didn’t eat most of it as it was served medium rare and I ordered it medium well. The fries that came with the steak were some of the best fries I’ve ever had.

Service (3/5): Our waitress was quick and direct but did not appear friendly nor did she ask us questions about what we wanted. When I asked her questions about drinks she seemed annoyed. Toward the end, the service was slow and she rarely checked on us. We had to ask for the check. The staff responsible to pack up our leftovers never brought our food back.

Atmosphere (3/5): It is not a large place, it’s old and the air conditioning units are on the floor so my feet were freezing during the entire dinner. The art on the walls were not family friendly, as there was a (non-realistic) painting near our table with two women and their uncovered breasts. Lastly, we did not like the choice of music.

A perfect dining experience! The staff were friendly and engaging . The food was excellent. Our only regrets was that we were too full for dessert and that we did not dine during warmer weather when we could enjoy their inviting outdoor space.

A fair review requires me to warn a prospective diner that the parking situation around the restaurant is challenging at best. If you’re not staying within walking distance, have a plan and build a lot of time in your travel to find a spot and walk to the restaurant. We ended up arriving almost 20 minutes late for our reservation despite planning on 15 minutes to find parking. On the plus side, the restaurant was extremely understanding and honored our reservation. Seems such is part of life in New Hope.
