El Tapatio is outstanding. The chile rellenos are the best I have ever had. Perfectly cooked pepper, light batter, great balance of heat and flavor, and clearly made with care. Everything tasted fresh and honest. This is the kind of place you come back to and order the same thing every time because it is done right. Highly recommended.

Well. I finally checked this place out after passing by for years. The reviews were promising so I had high hopes. I was pleased by the complimentary chip and dip assortment when we sat down. There was only 1 other couple there so service was prompt. The food was just ok. Was a little bummed. Still support local and try for yourself.

Wife ordered the carne asada fries. I got their nachos supreme food was awesome very tasty. if u want the authentic Mexican taste this is the place to visit. as soon as u walk pass the front doors u feel like in mexico the place is decorated wonderfully over all always a good experience with awesome customer service

We’ve seen this spot plenty of times while driving up North, well we finally decided to stop by and so glad we did.
You know being Mexican we are really picky when it comes to Mexican food, there are certain things I would not order specially if we can make it at home and way better. Sopes are one of those items, these were actually very good not hard at all like you usually find in different joints. I really loved the fact that they make the tortillas here, made the soft tacos taste even better.
The pico de gallo and chiles they give with the chips are very good with a nice little kick to them. So is the little bowl of beans they give you with some chile verde inside, that’s very good. This is a spot to sit and enjoy the very delicious food being prepared pretty much in front of you, so if you don’t have much patience for waiting I would say call ahead of time. Very friendly owners, we would definitely come back here if in the area or just to make the drive out here lol.

Just, Wow!!! This food is ridiculously delicious, straight up, just wow. I can truly say these are the best nachos I’ve ever had. You will be waiting because everything is fresh and made from scratch so worth the wait!!!

El Tapatio was probably the best Mexican restaurant i have been too in a long timeamd the best along the central coast line. The food was authentic and absolutely amazing with the owners being the absolute sweetest and genuine people. I ordered the carne asade fries and was completely blown away with the portion size. I was barely able to eat half of them with how big they were, best part was instead of moat places giving you a bunch of fries and a little amount of toppings they layered the toppings and fries so every bite is packed full of deliciousness. Next time I am anywhere near this place i will definitely be stopping by for a bite to eat. If i could give it more than 5 stars i would.
