For what you pay, the food is perfect. Always cooked well and tastes like you expect. Never had a bad meal. Atmosphere is also what you’d expect for a diner attached to a bar. It’s fine. Always has FOX news playing but you can sit where you don’t have to watch. Worth it for the price and the food.

Had the WORST prime rib of our lives!! If your chef thinks he’s a good cook guess again. He’s not even good enough for McDonald’s. Service needs some work. Waitress forgot to bring our salads. We can see why there was no waiting for a table.

This is for your so called chef. Have you ever used seasoning? You should give it a try sometime it makes the food taste better. If your not interested then go work at a factory!!!

Food was really good, could have been seasoned a little better but it was still good. I had a 16 OZ steak, fried onions and mushrooms with a loaded baked potato and salad and a drink and it was very affordable.
I would definitely stop again

We had a wonderful meal last night at Jack Slades. We started with the onion petals and they were delicious. We wanted to get some calzones to share, but they were out. We were bummed because their calzones are AWESOME, but it turned out wonderfully. Why? You ask? Because it made us try other stuff.
And, EVERYTHING was hot and Delicious!!!! I included pictures of everything except the onion petals. But, I have to say, they look awesome, too!!!
And, a shout out to Ella, our server, and everyone who worked. Was busy, but everyone was friendly and attentive. I don’t know who did the cooking, but a shout-out to them as well. So impressed with Everything!!!!

So first thing to me was appearance. The outside looks kind of rough. The paint on the side of the building where you entered loomed very dated and peeling and the parking lot when I got there had some large puddles of standing water. Next was I went to the bathroom to wash up before my meal. It was very dark and the bathroom was quite dirty with this spider on the sink. No paper towels to dry my hands. I then sat to have my meal. My server was amazing. Respectful, prompt to get anything I could have needed, and kept a goos conversation with small talk. I ordered there ribeye with steamed vegetables and a side salad. The cake was cooked perfectly minus some seasoning. Vegetables were quite watery as if they were just soggy from sitting in water. But after draining some of the water with a little salt they were not bad. The salad was decent except I was not a fan of the dressing as I asked for ranch and I think they mixed it up with blue cheese. Yuck. Now the side of the building does say world famous steak. Which i found out was there steak tips. I did see these, and they looked very good. As far as prices. I feel that they were very dece.t priced.

We were driving through and stopped here for breakfast. Upon entering, I noticed these fun bar stools and the group of locals having breakfast there encouraged my colleague and I to take a picture. We had french toast and I had sausage patties which were excellent and the right serving size. The service attentive and friendly. The entryway on the east side of the building, facing the highway seemed very cold as we entered and exited, but the dining area itself was comfortable. I would definitely stop here again.

Ribeye with browns was ordered medium but it came out more so well done. Flavor and tenderness wasn’t there for the meat and the hasbrowns were drowning in butter.
A pizza was also ordered which lacked flavor but was filling. Son had wings with fries and the fries were not fully cooked. Staff is friendly but could pay more attention to people needing refills. Atmosphere is decent. Maybe it just depends on who the cook in back is on how the food comes out but I will say the place was not real busy. Hope to have better luck during the next visit.

Stopped in on the way through town. Great experience – like others have said – exterior is rough, inside is dated, but the service and food is excellent. Definitely a diamond in the rough. We had the hanger steaks and it was as good as others I have had that cost 5x the price.
Next time I am in town, we are definitely stopping back!
