An interesting place to stop for lunch if you’re at Moffet Field. And it has a dog friend patio. The bar was closed on the Wednesday we went, but the grill was open.
This was apparently the former Officers Club building and sits across from the looming Hangar One.
Both the patty melt and Philly cheesesteak were tasty.
Don’t miss the Moffet Field Museum across the street.

It’s a cafeteria that serves beer. $7 a can/pint, some hot food, and some food in the fridge.
Not a whole lot of people and most older guys.
They serve curly fries and onion rings fresh. I would pass on the onion rings tho.

No tax on beer since it is federal property. Buy a growler and get superb craft beer SUPER cheap! Custom burgers and subs are super good! Thursday and Friday are happy hour prices and have great happy hour food! All while sitting at hangar one looking at awesome jets at NASA!

Friendly staff with a decent comfort food menu, and nicely stocked bar of liquors and beers on tap. NASA TV was playing, but other then that not much of a space theme that was expected. They do have souvenir shot glasses for sale to show you visited the research center.

Really good drinks, draft beer, and good pub food. Just show your dirvers license at the gate to Moffett (Just the driver needs to show their license), and tell them you are going to the space bar… then drive straight back almost all the way to Hanger 1. It’s a typical spot for NASA and New Space folks to hang out. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Friendly service and definitely a way more time effective option than eating off-site when visiting Ames. Guests that have visited Ames have always enjoyed the food and the friendly service from the cooks. Plenty of options for ordering and payments and a good selection for a quick lunch

This is just a cute little cafe at NASA Ames Research Park. I do not recommend the food here. However they have a great full bar a terrific bartender named dragon and a swell selection of on top brews.

I frequently attend happy hours here, and the beer selection is great. The bartenders are welcoming and go out of their way to make the service great. I ordered a NASA Spacebar pint glass for my beer and the bartender rinsed and iced the glass before carefully pouring my beer to the rim with the optimal amount of head.
Attention to detail is on point here, and I’m glad for service like this.
