I normal order here without any issue but Saturday night 12/13 was a damn joke. The fish was not cooked at all which my twin toddlers ate some and started complaining about their stomach bothering them shortly after. Went to look at the fish and it was still raw which means the grease had to be really high to cook the outside but not the inside. 2 cat & wing combos and a lg catfish dinner all undone. Second thing I never have an issue with is customer service the young new guy there was nasty!. When called about the food this man said “What you want me to do? What’s done is done I’ll refund you” well first show compassion about a service you provided and obviously didn’t provide correctly and then offer an apology! Those two go hand and hand with customer service especially when people are spending their money there. It’s really sad how the rotation of their workers are truly bringing this restaurant down to what it is.

We all love Harold’s chicken but please don’t eat here. Prices fluctuate so much in this establishment it’s makes no sense what they’re charging to eat here, check any other Harold’s I guarantee you I’m right. You better hope they feel like making your food correctly because if not, you will have to argue with mgnt as to why you need a refund or remake of your food. Please do not order online they will steal your money and say an order was never placed. To top it all off the customer service in here alone would make anyone not even hungry anymore the owner would rather you get out instead of doing what’s right, if it were possible they would be getting no stars from me

I ordered some food on DoorDash and where I actually picked it up myself which I feel that is very quick so I went into the location. The cashier had a nasty attitude with me because I told him I ordered my food off DoorDash oh just go down to the other window, so I proceeded, went to the person that gives you out the food. The person legally want to argue with me for no reason I showed them the app where I ordered on DoorDash. They asked me why I could not Confirm the order because I told him it was my personal order and I’m not actually a DoorDash driver so the attitude of the staff there could’ve been a little bit better. Overall the food actually was not bad and I like the food, but the attitude could’ve been just a little bit better than they were Thank you for the food but not the bad attitude. Customer Service goes a long.

Part 2 – Another Friday Night and I ordered again, and my chicken was overcooked and dry (see pics) I had a customer service issue and spoke with Ron the Owner the next day he was advised of the Quality issue and did not offer to replace it therefore changing my previous rating.
Part I – It was Friday so I was lazy and I had not had Harold’s Chicken for several years. When I worked downtown we had a food truck that would come for lunch. I ordered the following: wings with mild sauce, breaded mushrooms, fries (not in photo), and two pizza puffs. The wings were perfectly seasoned, and not fried too hard. The texture of the fries was great! The mild sauce on the chicken was good, and the mushrooms were light, and not overdone. I spoke with Catina, about my missing mild sauce that I paid for. She was professional.

I called to place a to go order the lady was kind on phone but my order was wrong, so when I got home ( 15 mins away) I called to inform them. No apology instead she asked can she refund me for (the sauce) that was missing I said no that’s now how my girlfriend wants to eat it. She then asked me to come get my order remade still no apology. I stay polite. Then she called and said bring the food with you I said ok. I get there and handed a man at front my messed up order he tossed it in trash and gave me my new order I said thank you he said “ight na” still no apology after I wasted an extra 30 mins of travel for my food they messed up. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THIS IS THE ONLY HAROLDS IN THE WORLD THAT CHARGES YOU FOR SAUCE! I will NEVER RETURN. Oh they charge for Lemon pepper as well what a joke!

Based on the last few reviews clearly there’s some kind of disconnect, I ordered a Uber eats order which had a deal buy one get one free 4pc I ordered 4 of those. IF THE STORE DOES NOT WANT TO HONOR UBER EATS OR DOORSASH DEALS DO NOT ADVERTISE THEM. eveytime there’s some type of special through a 3rd party my order is not correct. What do I look like ordering Harold with no mild sauce and I paid EXTRA to have that. They wrote on the bag “you only paid for one order with sauce, how when it was a duplicate order the same exact order multiplied by 4. Didn’t even want ts. It’s cool they won’t get my patronage anymore, thankfully ubereats gave me my money back. Chicken was poor quality, bad after taste, included wings with no chicken straight bone, had never seen that before. It’s sad I have to go to Chicago just to get my order correct. – save y’all money just go on Indianapolis or to the city

I ordered lunch today and place the order online. It was a special, however, I received a call that said he could honor it even though it was on the website and I paid for it. I came in to get the order and he was simply rude to myself and my friend. He refunded me the money but the customer service was a 0 out of 10. When you spend money and it’s their error, you would think they would be more apologetic and accommodating.

Oh my god the women was rude as hell never coming back there again. Asked for BEYOND extra lemon pepper and paid for it. Go home and open the food and was utterly disappointed. My chicken was bare with barely any seasoning. I also expected mild sauce but I understand that that wasn’t spoken but it also wasn’t asked. I’m used to Chicago Harold’s and with this one just opening it thought hey can’t go too bad because it’s new. I called about my order and explain that this wasn’t what I orders and the woman was very rude. I didn’t even get to fully explain before she said “are you finished?” And tried to tell me I can’t see it because she put it on hot, but paid x5 extra lemon pepper. I’m trying to talk to her and she’s just like what do you want me to do after I asked her how should we go about fixing it. I even mentioned paying the extra fees but this isn’t what I wanted . She then goes “what do you want it for free?” After I just said I’d pay for extras. As I’m still trying to figure this out she tells me she has to go and hangs up on me. Anyway the receipt said cashier Katina Kitchen and this was at 8:15pm on 2/25/2025. She said she made the order and she answered the phone and I had her on speaker so the person with me coukd attest to how RUDE she was talking to me when I was trying to be nothing but understanding.but whatever. I guess she’s miserable working there, so make sure y’all don’t order or she’ll take it out on your food

I ordered through Uber eats. My order was for catfish fillets but instead the fish was swai and I tried to call and address the problem with once my order was delivered and they don’t answer the phone . I’ve also been trying to call today still no answer. I have fished all my life and I cook I know the difference between catfish and other fish. What they gave me was thin mush fish unlike catfish which is thick and flaky and the taste is significantly different

Under new management and you can tell. Complete trash. Will never eat there again. Ordered my food was told 30 mins got there 40 minutes later and they were just dropping my food. Waited over an hour. Get home chicken is soggy orders family fries and it looked like a small. Was enough for one person. They have signs up stating no refunds which makes sense. They can rip you off and there’s nothing you can do about it. Inside was pretty dirty as well. They have about 20 menus over the glass so you can’t see your food being made as well! Wasted 50 dollars on garbage. Go to Harold’s on Broadway instead unless they’re now being ran by same owners. This doesn’t even taste like Harold’s chicken either!
