Nannie Mae’s is one of my favorite coffee shops in Asheboro. I visit a lot of cafés, but this place has a calm, welcoming energy that makes it perfect for writing and thinking. Great coffee, a solid bakery, and a space that invites you to slow down and stay awhile.

We always enjoy Nannie Maes when in the area, because their food and coffees are delicious. A favorite is the Baklava and Bagel egg bakes. Their other pastries are all worth a taste as well. We haven’t had anything we didn’t enjoy!

Nannie Mae’s is a great place for a treat and a cup of coffee. My only real complaint is that there isn’t enough seating. I also will say if you are wanting a real strong coffee this probably won’t be the place for you but their coffee and pastries are amazing!

I just stopped by to grab a few items to go. This was my first visit, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I got a canoli, it was fantastic. It was served fresh, the flavor was like nothing else. I would highly recommend the canolis. Next, I got a ham and guda cheese quiche, it was awesome! The portioning of the ingredients was perfect. Somebody in there is clearly an expert. Last item was a baklava. It was good, very good. Not my favorite item there, but like the other items, it was a perfect balance of flavors, each ingredient well complementing the other. If you are into baklava, this one will not disappoint.
Lastly, the items were packaged very well to go. So well, and thoughtfulness of presentation went into the packaging. I was a little concerned, the price was very low in comparison to similar places I have been to throughout the state. This place is a welcome complement to the community, thank you for such a delicious meal, I will return.

This truly is a hidden gem in Asheboro! Catherine, Jason & the team are incredibly hospitable & the baked goods & drinks?! They speak for themselves! Do yourself a favor & check them out. My fave so far is the candied jalapeño cream cheese!!

I ordered an 8-inch cake and 26 custom cupcakes for my gender reveal (vanilla cake with strawberry for a girl or vanilla cake with blueberry filling for a boy) i provided “wish” photos and they did the rest. The flavors were beyond anything I expected—moist, rich, perfectly balanced, and truly out of this world. The presentation was stunning and made the reveal feel even more special, far exceeding my expectations. You can tell this bakery puts incredible care and creativity into everything they make. I’m so grateful to have trusted them with such an important moment in my life. If you’re looking for desserts that wow both visually and taste-wise, look no further. Absolute perfection! I wish I could give them 100 stars.

Nannie Mae’s in Asheboro is such a great spot. The food is always really good and tastes homemade, and the portions are solid. Their coffee is really good too—perfect with a meal or just to sit and enjoy. The staff is super friendly and makes you feel welcome every time. It’s the kind of place you can relax, enjoy a good meal, and leave happy. Definitely one of my go-to local places and totally worth checking out!

We was looking for something sweet and someone told us we should try nannie Mae’s, so we did and they did NOT disappoint! We got a huge variety and there was nothing that wasn’t AMAZING!! She has some of the best cookies! It took us some time to figure out what we wanted and they were so patient with us as we took our time trying to decide, the owner is the sweetest!! We will definitely be going back!

I have been going to Nannie Maes since she opened! Great coffee, perfect location; the pastries are just something out of this world! Her prices are also very reasonable. I would recommend the morning glory muffin or her cinnamon roll. Really, anything you get is going to be yummy and fresh!
