Luke’s Donuts in Avon, CT is an absolute gem. The donuts are always fresh, perfectly soft, and full of flavor without being overly sweet. You can tell they’re made with care—whether you go for a classic glazed or one of their specialty flavors, they never disappoint. The shop itself is welcoming and cozy, and the staff is friendly and genuinely happy to help. It’s the kind of place that feels like a local staple the moment you walk in. Love this place! Had cheeseburgers and fries – plus a gyro. Amazing! Sam junior made us feel so welcome.

Great breakfast spot!! The staff were incredibly nice. We got a sausage, egg and cheese and several donuts/holes. I’d recommend everything but definitely loved the cake-style donuts. The chocolate donut hole was my best bite! We took it to go, but the atmosphere is also nice with diner counter style seating. Highly recommend.

Called up to ask if they have lamb gyros. Was told they did, so I immediately drove over and ordered a lamb gyro, and paid for it. Then was told, “We just ran out.” So instead I ordered a chicken parmesan grinder whose “meat” was processed and nearly inedible. While waiting for it to be made I looked around the place and it sure is disgusting, dirty, and dingy. There was even an open loaf of bread and a carton of creamer just sitting out. I looked on the Farmington Valley Health District website and sure enough they are one of only seven establishments in Avon to receive the low “B” rating. I’m surprised it’s even that high.

Hate doing this to a place from my childhood, but it’s not the same place it was. Used to live in Avon and this was the town hall. 6:01 am and good luck finding a seat back then. 6:01 this morning was a ghost town. We got 2 donuts and hot chocolate. The bag had grease stains. The donuts were crunchy. Not good crunchy. Overcooked by a mile. We threw them out after 1 bite. Worst donut I’ve ever had. Place looks dingy. The sign out front needs repair. Owner was very nice and I wish them well.

I’m typically a fan of donuts with filling, but I just tried their “Glazed Cake” donut and wow that might be the best donut I’ve ever eaten. They might not be the flashiest but the great quality and flavor makes up for it by a long shot. I will definitely stop by more often.

Luke’s Donuts caught my eye while traveling through Avon with its large sign advertising donuts. These days if the sign doesn’t start with Dunkin, it’s probably going to be good. Especially if the place has been around for years, like Luke’s has.
I bought a Maple frosted donut and it was delicious. Not too dense with a slight crunch to the glaze, and that flavor hint of the oil. Excellent!
They are definitely worth stopping by.

Luke’s Donuts is a great local spot with way more than just donuts. Sure, the donuts are fresh and very good, but they also serve wraps and other tasty breakfast and lunch options, all made to order. Everything comes out fresh and at a fair price.
It feels like a true family-run place — probably the owner and his sons, working side by side and treating customers with kindness and respect. That personal touch really shows, and it makes the experience even better.
Our kids loved it, and we’ll absolutely be coming back for more donuts and a wrap or two next time!

Wow. These donut holes are insane!
Definitely not a normal place I would have found. Our family in Avon turned us on to this place.
Seriously. Go try those over-the-top fan fare donuts which are good, don’t get me wrong. I’ll enjoy those from time to time.
But, then come and bite into the simple heaven that is Luke’s.
Well done.
