I just attended a party at the Harris-Kehrer VFW Post. Everything was excellent. The volunteer staff was top notch. They kept the beer flowing and the line moving. The hall and restrooms were nice and clean. The live band even sounded great, which. can be a challeng at some venues. If you are planning an event. I Highly recommend the Harris-Kehrer VFW Post 3323.

We paid to rent a space for a small get together recently. It was absolutely horrible, it was super hot in the room. They didn’t even clean it out for us to use the space, had boxes, pans and other stuff stacked everywhere that we had to store in the bathroom which made it unusable, we had to all of that when we arrived. Went the night before to decorate and had the door propped open. One of the patrons came over and was very rude about us having the door open after the woman who did my paper work was the one that said we could and they had the back door open. We rented it starting at noon, not knowing they didn’t open until noon and when we said we wanted the space to start at noon weren’t told no one would be there until open. We showed up 15 minutes early to set up food and whatnot. When we called at 11:51 and someone answered again rude and nasty. We belong to the highland VFW but live out in this area now. We have always done our stuff at VFW halls and have never been treated so badly.

I was there for a celebration of marriage where the couple was looking forward to celebrating with their guests at your VFW Hall. Upon arrival It had a musty and stale smell like it wasn’t cleaned prior to their event. I went to the ladies room and no tissue was in my stall, along with 2 stalls wasn’t working..close to where I was sitting at my table the ceiling tiles were linking and covered in brown spots.
I went to the bar to obtain ice and noticed it was closed due to us having to leave suddenly before the event was over per my invitation, then an announcement was made something about children being there. I noticed the response from the owner has been that the family members left negative reviews but I can only leave an review based on my EXPERIENCE and it was negative before we were asked to leave but that too was negative due to all the police outside when we quietly exited their HALL upon being told. I am a daughter, wife and mother to a veteran who is in Japan serving right now but whoever volunteers here need to be changed to a person with compassion and truly knows how to provide customer service because the couple did not get this hall for FREE they used their hard earned money to pay for it.

I recently attended a wedding reception at this facility and it was a regrettable experience. The happy couple’s event was ruined when they were suddenly ordered to have guests under 18 leave the facility at 9 pm (the request was made just minutes earlier, without any warning or mention of such a rule in their contract). After having traveled in inclement weather conditions to attend the reception, my husband and I, along with our minor child, were forced to abruptly leave the celebration. Prior to the final assault of being asked to leave, the customer service was absolutely terrible — more specifically, I went over to the owners/staff to report that a glass had been dropped on the floor and had broken, requiring glass clean-up. The owner/staff member replied that all they could do was give me a broom and dust pan. In short order, I was sent on my way with a broom and dust pan in hand. I was completely shocked at what a horrible experience this facility offered.
When it seemed that things couldn’t get any worse, just minutes after we exited the facility (to enter a parking lot blanketed with local law enforcement), the owner/staff ended the entire event at least an hour before the contracted end time and forced the bride, groom and all guests to immediately leave. This was a most unfortunate end to such a beautiful occasion.

Hi we are very disappointed we were not notified children under 18 must leave by 9 pm. this was very disappointing due to the fact we were their to celebrate a wedding and our immediate family had to leave. Additionally, when we arrived we were told we could not park in the lot that it was for members only. I can not recommend this facility.

I wasn’t in the bar, I was in the hall. The hall is a nice size perfect for holding trivia fundraisers. As for the hall, it needs a lot of work. Many wet ceiling tiles from leaks.

There service was terrible. I was there for a wedding reception for Tracey and Kenyetta. The floor was dirty and the bathrooms needed cleaning . We they were asked to clean the bathroom and mop the reception floor it seem to be a problem. The manager was nasty to guess and at the last minute he asked for all children to be removed and that night it was cold and stormy night . It took a minute to warm cars up to put the children in them . This was not discussed prior to the reception otherwise we would have said no children. I would never recommend this place.
