Fantastic Barbecue, sides and banana pudding! We drove from Bowling Green for an event, wanted good barbecue and we found it. We dined in but decided to order more and take it home. I noticed several people eating there for the first time and they did the same. We tried the brisket, pulled pork, and smoked turkey, fantastic! My favorite sides were the creamy potato salad and collard greens that melted in your mouth. The owners were so friendly and helpful, I want to thank them for a wonderful experience.

I’ve been wanting to stop in here for so long, and I finally got the chance to! I wish I would’ve checked it out earlier! First of all, the people are just the absolute sweetest. They wanted to know all about me and since it was my first time there, they gave me a little taste of some thing that is a popular dish of theirs so I could try it, and so on. We talked all about our hometowns and how/why we ended up in Lexington. It was such a nice time. The people are so friendly and it was a very memorable part of my experience.
The barbecue was absolutely delicious. The sauce on my pulled pork sandwich made it already juicy and tasty enough without the other sauces, but the other sauces taste great with the food too, and it’s super tasty. I didn’t order it, but they gave me a taste of the brisket fried rice, and wow!!! When I come back, I will DEFINITELY be getting some!! It is AMAZING! Such an unsuspecting hit!! I really liked the mac & cheese too, but the pulled pork and brisket fried rice definitely stole the show for me!!
The building feels very intimate and casual, and definitely fosters a nice sense of community.
I definitely recommend going to LX BBQ, and go sooner rather than later, so you don’t miss out on opportunities to visit that restaurant in the future! I wish I would’ve gone sooner!

Best Brisket sandwich I’ve eaten in a long time. There are free refills on drinks. Parking is limited here. There are seats inside and outside the restaurant. You’ll have to get there early their ribs were SOLD OUT again. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I will definitely stop here again when I’m in town. I hope they have ribs next time.

Here is the deal, I’m not a big review writer; either something needs to be horrible, or it needs to be the best ever. Our experience was a “best ever experience.” Best brisket, best service and best conversation with the staff. Ricky was a joy to visit with. Yep, overall it is the best. From the time I walked in, to the time I left, I felt valued and well taken care of. I liked that, a lot. I think you’ll appreciate this too when you visit.

The food here is fantastic! Some of the best brisket I’ve ever eaten! The staff are super helpful and really take pride in the food. The sauces were great and the sides were fantastic as well. Will definitely be back! Highly recommended!

We came with high expectations, and boy, did LX BBQ not disappoint! We would give them six stars if we could! We have very high standards for BBQ: if it isn’t delicious without sauce, is not good BBQ. We spent more than the average because we wanted to try a variety of meats and sides. NONE of them disappointed!
We started with the beef brisket, which was juicy (not dry), and amazingly tender! Next came the smoked turkey, also super juicy! My wife normally does not like most restaurants’ smoked turkey, but she loved this! Third was the pulled pork, which they wrapped in foil so it wouldn’t dry out. They recently started adding a bit of their special honey glaze to the pulled pork, and wow! We’ve never had pulled pork that was this juicy and delicious! Last but not least were the ribs. They were also super tender, it took only the lightest bite to get the meat off the bone, and the peppery honey glaze on them was perfect! On the side they also included both dill cucumber pickles and picked onions to cleanse your palate, which was a nice touch.
Last were the sides: fantastic baked beans; thick, creamy Mac and cheese; perfectly creamy, not-too-sweet coleslaw; and beefy, salty collard greens that even made me want to eat them… I’m not typically a fan of greens, but these were amazing! They also have sandwiches if you want to quickly grab food to go. Oh, and the sweet tea was also A+, not too sweet, not too weak. No matter what you order, I can say with confidence that you will not be disappointed!

Super friendly and delicious. Man working there gave us a great description of everything and some good conversation and recommendations, then slid us some of the next days special to try. We had different sandwiches and they were amazing and very fairly priced, definitely will be back if I’m in the area and highly recommend
