We went there on a tuesday night for the first time. It is a lovely cosy place, with a mexican atmosphere. The service was incredible and they we’re really nice to us. We appreciate them! The food, although it may not have the looks (but yeah, beans), is really great and has a lot of taste. Especially the mole! Que rico!! Worth the visit! Thanks!

Was driving home and thought about getting fast food but drove by Que Rico and after years of passing and never going in, decided to pull over and dine in solo.

I arrived early before the dinner crowd around 5:30 and sat down in a lovely dining room that made you feel like you weren’t in Chicago.

Complementary chips and salsa was fantastic to munch on while looking at the menu. Speaking of the menu, SO MUCH to choose from. I was about to order a traditional meal but then looked at the chalkboard that said “Mexican Meatloaf: Most Popular Dish!” and decided why not.

As you can see in the photo, WOW! Tasted very similar to a traditional meatloaf and mashed potatoes but it definitely had a Mexican flavored kick to it.

Highly recommend coming back. Good spot for a date night!

In the city visiting & stopped by here. They were closing within the hour, but the food came out hot. The birria tacos were really good. However, I wish they cut the meat a bit thinner. Hard to chew with the tortilla. Also had the beef nachos & they were good.

Whether you’re planning a romantic date night, wrangling kids for a fun family dinner, or just escaping a rough Tuesday at the office, Que Rico delivers every single time.

And the magic behind it all? Patty.
She’s not just a restaurateur — she’s a hospitality genius. Patty has a way of making you feel like you’re not at a restaurant, but in her home. Her warmth is genuine, her attention to detail is impeccable, and the love she pours into every element of the experience is unforgettable.

The food? Mouthwatering. The atmosphere? Cozy and vibrant. The service? Flawless.
But it’s the heart and soul Patty brings that sets Que Rico apart.

I’ve never had a bad experience here — because Patty simply doesn’t allow for one. She and her team are that good.

Come once, and you’ll be hooked. Come twice, and you’ll feel like family.

Que Rico was a lot of fun. My husband and I went there on a whim hoping for a great time, which they certainly delivered on.

Our service was AWESOME! The waiter was very attentive and helpful.

We started with the complimentary chips and salsa (the salsa was very good), as well as a pitcher of the house margaritas. They offered salt or tajin rims. The pitcher was around $44 which we felt was a fair price for the size.

We split the chicken tostadas and combo que rico. Both were delicious. We especially loved the skirt steak and stuffed chile relleno.

We split everything and ended up with one to go box at the end. We did also try the banana borracha, which was a delicious sweet treat.

We spent $102 before tip, which I felt was very affordable for the quality of the dinner.

Highly recommend! We will be back.

Great food within a cozy location. Visited on Saturday with a reservation. Enjoyed Chipotle Chicken and Steak Fajitas. Both were cooked to perfection. Highly recommend for the food and service but do not go if you are looking for a place to have a quiet conversation. The atmosphere is lively and vibrant. We will return!

First time in after passing it in our neighborhood for years- and we had a wonderful time! No problem getting seated at 6pm on a Friday. The place seems small but they have a large hidden back room.

I got the chili relenos dinner which was some of the best I’ve ever had. The cheese was excellent and I loved the toasting on the top. This place does not skip on the details.

We got the 1/2 premium margaritas pitcher which was perfect for 2 people to kick off a Friday night. Great value. Between our meals, the drinks, and chips- we spent only $70. Will definitely be back!

My love and i came in from Lombard to see a show at the theater down the street, stopped in for a quick margarita and ended up staying gor hours, canceling our dinner reservation for the restaurant down the street. The warmest, coziest, most charming Mexican restaurant ever! Bright beautiful colors, gorgeous eclectic Mexican art covering the walls, fantastic music, the most delicious, freshest food, and the kindest owner Patty who so graciously welcomed us and made us feel so invited into her beautiful sanctuary of a restaurant. Will happily be making the hour drive from Lombard anytime we are craving margaritas and fajitas 🙂 the festive Halloween/ Day of the Dead decor was the cherry on top.

Service was great even though it only seemed like there was one guy waiting tables. Complimentary chips and salsa is amazing. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the salsa. Margaritas looked delicious! The food was a little greasy and oily, but it was delicious. I would recommend this place for a fun Mexican date night. Sit on the patio! Come here over Old Pueblo.

The empanadas with spinach were amazing, and the tres leches cake… thank god they didn’t give me more or I would’ve had to ask them to roll me out – don’t miss this gem! Really cool día de los muertos and Halloween decorations!
