Chianti’s was great. Warm bread,really good soup and I had a scallop scampi over fresh pasta.

I came across this place on accident, but returned many times on purpose. The atmosphere is welcoming, cozy, inviting. There is space to dine inside and outside (I personally dined inside, but I saw plenty of families with kids enjoy their time in the sun). The food is PHENOMENAL (and by food, I am specifically referring to the Grandma pizza that they have). There’s fresh basil, wonderful crust, and notes of garlic. The sauce is absolutely wonderful.
Service is nice too. You can tell the people love what they are do and even though it is not an “elite” or “fine dining” location, it is definitely a wonderful lunch or light Friday dinner place that makes you want to come back.

Professional Wood fired Pizza and Italian food. You can tell all ingredients are fresh. The wood fired pizzas are delicious. I tried 2 and wished I could try them all. The chicken Milanese is one of the best I’ve had in NJ. The mushroom truffle soup is amazing. Overall all the food I had was great and I would love to go back and try everything else on the menu. Quaint restaurant , friendly fast service.

Absolutely amazing experience there, went with my friends and overall everything was amazing. We ordered the garlic knots and there was 6 of us and only 6 garlic knots in the portion, our server who was the kindest ever gave us extra . Literally had the BEST service there I am not sure what the workers name is but whoever served us today I love you your the best!! He even took photos of us and the music there was so good. I really liked this one song that played and I said it out loud, im not sure if someone heard me but it played again and i was so happy!! Infact i am listening to it right now so thank you for playing that music. Okay so on top of the amazing service the food was astonishing. My friends and I got three pizzas including the pesto white sauce, caprese salad, and vodka sauce and they were all soooo good. Emphasis on the vodka sauce one that was amazing. So the environent was also really nice , I went to the bathroom and it was so clean, smelt good, and even cutely decorated. One another amazing thing is it was SO cheap! $68 for 6 people, thats actually insane. If you are in town please go here they willl NOT dissapoint! Its also a 10 minute walk from the center town of Bernardsville so amazing location to!

What a gem! I was visiting friends in the Bernardsville, NJ area. We all had dinner at Chianti. Our starters were the clams oreganata and Chatham pear salad, which we all shared. I love clams and was not disappointed with this first dish. The clams were fresh and tasty. The salad provided the right amount of green veggies I craved. The tart and tangy mix of pear, spinach, dried cranberries, gorgonzola cheese, and vinaigrette absolutely hit the spot. Three entrées were ordered: chicken parmesan and two specials. My special was chicken breast stuffed with spinach, mushroom, and fontina cheese in a porcini mushroom truffle sauce with shrimp scampi and broccoli rabe. I ate every bite! It was so delicious. It was a delightful meal that was not too heavy. My meal did not contain pasta, but it did not need pasta.
The restaurant has nice comfortable seating and a staff that was friendly and inviting. My friends frequent Chianti and were greeted by name when we entered.
While I was, indeed, at a restaurant, I felt “at home.” The food was cooked with care and tasted authentically homemade.

Subpar pizza. Asked for well done and extra crispy, pizzas came Soggy and undercooked.
Ordered 4. Types of pizza and all 4 was soggy. And very expensive for what it is. Wouldn’t recommend.

My very Italian New York family and some friends joined us for a celebration at Chianti Wood Fired Pizza (Bernardsville) this past Saturday evening and they are still raving about the delicious food and quality service. We had originally booked a party of 15 and due to unforeseen circumstances ended up having 22 people show up. Frank was so gracious about it and quickly added tables and chairs. The food kept coming and we ate until we rolled out of there. I wish I could pick a favorite food we had but everything was so delicious that I can’t decide. The calamari, brussel sprouts and grandma’s pizza immediately come to mind. We plan on returning for future celebration and will hopefully get the number of guests right lol.

We had a wonderful dinner experience at Chianti Restaurant, which we experienced for the first time two days ago. Every dish we tasted was worth trying, also the Service was great and clear. Chef comes and makes sure everyone enjoying. Thank you

See the photos. Photos 1 and 2 are pizza from the restaurant. Photo 3 is a reference image from Google. I consider the pizza overcooked, possibly even burnt. Kind of like when you burn toast. It’s a difficult flavor to override.
My guess is that the dough is under hydrated and that’s why there is an overly charred crust. Maybe people disagree but the pictures speak for themselves. If someone asked me, “How was everything?” then I would have told them. But no one did.
Keeping this five stars because I don’t want to hurt the business.

Went for pizza. The place looks nice from the outside and a step back but the inside is pretty dirty. Hand prints and food splatter on the walls by our table. The place needs a deep clean and there were a lot of flies inside. The pizza was pretty good but nothing i need to run back to. Service was not great. We were the only ones in the place and the waiter was pretty much sitting on his phone the whole time and took a long time to come check in at the end.
