I was part of the same party as Andy V. I’m not writing this for a refund—I ate my meal—but because I want to see places like yours thrive. The service was warm and attentive, and the space is genuinely adorable. It’s clear you’ve built something with heart and progressive values, which I really respect.
That said, the food just didn’t land. I ordered the burrito and found the flavor combinations awkward, like it was trying too hard to reinvent something that didn’t need fixing. I was hungry after a hike, so I ate it, but it wasn’t enjoyable. I tried a bite of Andy’s quesadilla, and unfortunately, I agree… it wasn’t good.
I think the concept leans too heavily into fusion and novelty, at the cost of flavor and balance. There’s absolutely a place for creativity in the kitchen, but I’d love to see a stronger foundation in traditional Mexicano flavors and technique. For reference, I think places like Taco Bamba strike a better balance between innovation and honoring traditional flavors. They push boundaries without losing their roots. Until there’s a guarantee of that, I won’t be dining at your establishment again.
You’ve got everything else going for you. I genuinely hope the food catches up.

“Are you going to give them five stars Daddy?” Yes I am! The burritos were delicious. The hot sauces were interesting. The art on the wall was wonderful. Even the murals in the bathroom were awesome! I had the Masala Mama Beef, and it was SO good! My kids had the kids meal burritos, and they loved them too. My son loved the Mexican Coke, but I’m not sure he should really tell the difference. But above all that, the staff was fantastic! They were so friendly and patient. I’m sure they will ask to go back again very soon.

The atmosphere, staff, and food were stellar. I came in here for a quick snack during some downtime and left full and happy.
They recently changed their menu but were really accommodating when I wanted something that had recently gone away.
Highly recommend the duo dipper snack with queso and chicken and corn dips.

Cool decor and nice server but terrible food. Everything on the menu is some kind of yuppie fusion flavor. Took one bite of the quesadilla and gagged. Only plus side was they were kind enough not to charge me for the meal.

I did not see anything on the menu that didnt scream spicy. So I played it safe and got a favorite dish of mine, guacamole and chips. Not only was it terribly spicy but it was very sour. I tried 2 or 3 bites and could not eat it. The waitress did ask if anything was wrong at the end when my bowl was totally still full minus some chips. And I said it was too spicy I could not eat it, she still charged me and said she would take 2 dollars off. I’m sorry, but the whole thing should have been taken off. My son got an egg burrito and loved it. They do store all the silverware on the table in a container (ew) but there were no forks at all. I added a before and after on my guac. You can see how much I tried.
