I did just that.
I ordered a double cheeseburger with mustard, pickle and onion, because that’s the way I like it. I decided to let them add lettuce and tomato. That was a nice change.
The burger here was really good! It’s very tall if you get a double, so get ready. I cut mine in half to make it more manageable.
My dining companion ordered some fries and let me have a few of them. They were delicious with seasoned salt included.
This is a great burger stand with no frills that does one thing really well. Well, I guess two things with the fries. If you have the room, try a shake too. I did not and wish I had.
I review restaurants all over the world and this tiny, small, humble spot in down town SFco with plastic chairs and limited space its pretty GOOD .!!
Yes, the burguer was surprisingly good and my wife also agreed on it . Sure you get a better one on Capital Burguer in Coral Gables (miami) but cost 3 times more …! They are plain but tasty and good. The place it’s very humble but the food was good and the young guy on charge was very polite.
I ordered the bacon cheeseburger for $12 and it did not disappoint. The portion was a healthy size, the beef was properly salted, even the pickles were just right and not too heavy in the brine. I would highly recommend this burger !
We’ve had burgers around the world from greasy bags to fancy hotel lobbies. Columbus Burger was a home run! Fries not limp or greasy or overseasoned. The burgers were the same!
Is this “OMG the best in the world”? No. But it’s not a ripoff and we didn’t receive any tourist apathy.
This little joint has a straightforward menu and operates until 11pm on weekdays and 2am on weekends (a true rarity in SF!). That being said, the pictures on the menu don’t match at all with what you receive after ordering, which is certainly a red flag for any burger enthusiast.
The burger had a good ratio of toppings-to-sauce and tasted great. The patty was a bit small, but can’t complain too much when the check was under $30 for two people.
The decor is cute with US license plates adorning the walls, though most of the seating is cheap, backless metal stools (they are extremely uncomfortable to sit in for more than 5 minutes).
Would I come back again? After a night of drinking in the area, for sure. Definitely worth checking out, especially if you’re tightening the belt on your wallet — but if those aren’t relevant to you, I’d recommending trying another burger spot (Uncle Boy’s comes to mind if you’re interested!)
The service was good, the place looks clean and neat but smells to much chemicals, I even tasted in my mouth.
