Ordered food through the new website and arranged a pick up order. Ordered for 7.30pm and walked out of the shop bang on time. Everything was cooked well and the food was very good. Will be using the new pick up service again in the future. Website works well.

We had a lovely walk on the beach and decided to stay and watch the sunset. We decided to go for fish and chips and found Cobo Chippy, it was such a lovely weather to sit outside and have our dinner. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. Great service. We thought our fish and chips were lovely and good prices and an amazing view.

Sorry but lunchtime today the savorloy sausage was so dry like it had been cooked in a microwave on its own. The batter on the burger just fell off and im still not sure weather cooking burgers from frozen is good for anyones stomach as i feel ill now ive eaten it. Oh and the chips were very dry too.

We’d been in the area for a few days and visited Cobo Chippy for takeaway on a Saturday Evening. I wish we’d found this place earlier in the week!
The staff are super friendly and the fish and chips were possibly some of the best I’ve ever eaten. Lovely flaky fish and crispy batter, and the chips were perfectly cooked. When you sit on the beach opposite to eat them, it doesn’t get any better!

Not terrible but not stand out, very average. Chips were a bit on the greasy side and the batter could be lighter and crispier.

New review since the chippy has changed hands, such an improvement. Excellent crispy and fluffy chips, lovely fish in a nice crisp batter, nothing was greasy, and the staff happily adjusted their kids meals as the kids wanted smaller portions of stuff from the normal menu. Food was all reasonably priced.
We went to a “famous” chippy when visiting Whitby and waited an absolute age for what turned out to be mediocre food at best; but the meal we had from here was so much better, and arguably a better view too.

Proper Chippy! with proper crisp batter just the way we like it a menu board with every possible thing you could think of. There are picnic tables outside as this is a takeaway. Check the opening times as this gets very busy and be prepared to queue- this should tell you how good it is! We love it and went twice this year on our holidays , we found this place on our first visit over 10 years ago and keep going back so it must be most definitely good . great view across the bay too!

This is probably the most genuine fish & chips bar that I’ve ever experienced. Locals and tourists queue for about 15′ on busy days to be rewarded with the real stuff: nothing fancy and what you see is what you get for a more than reasonable price tag. Take your food, find yourself a quite place on the beach across the street and enjoy the sunset with the one you love…One advice: check the portions first before ordering, they are really generous…

Soggy battered cod and dried-out chips. Ordered a cheeseburger thinking that would be better and went to pick it up only for them to say they were out of burgers and all they had were battered burgers! Gross. So, I cancelled my order and the lady said she would make some cheeseburgers. I waited around, took my order, and when I got home, they were battered burgers!!!! Are you kidding me? Not only is the food gross, but the orders are wrong.
