Absolutely delicious food. Buffet-style and well worth the price. Everything had so much flavor and there were plenty of vegetarian options. The staff are so friendly and the place itself is small but cozy. The vegetable samosas with chutney was definitely my favorite! Will definitely come back again!

BIG thanks for bringing this great food & warmest hospitality to Lincoln- start with the buffet it’s a super value – especially because you can try so many of the dinner entrees – mmm, lamb shank in rice, loved the eggplant, samosas & Afghan “egg rolls” – rice pudding is the perfect dessert ! – gotta get back to try the whole fish & more lamb shank – “atmosphere” got a low mark for the operating room intense illumination – it’s bright white in there – better than dim, but less lumens would feel warmer –

I catered food from Afghan Village cuisine for my birthday for 50 people, And everyone loved the food and kept talking about how good it was, And I kept getting asked where the food was from.
And as an Afghan, I have pretty high standards for Afghan food, and I appreciated this food very much.

Had my dad’s 90th birthday here and the owner could not have been more accommodating. The buffet was fabulous! Everyone had a wonderful time, and the food was delicious. They do a great job of keeping the buffet fresh and filled. My favorite place in Lincoln!

Our book club chose Afghan Village Cuisine for dinner to complement our current book about Afghanistan, and what an incredible discovery it turned out to be! The food was delicious and offered via a buffet – I went back twice! Or you could order items individually. The seasonings struck a perfect balance, transporting us to another world without overwhelming our taste buds. Vegetarians will be pleased with the variety of delicious options. It is family-owned, and we had the opportunity to meet and talk with Alias, one of the owners. Everyone was very welcoming. I’ll definitely be returning, and I can’t wait to introduce more friends to this hidden gem tucked into a small shopping area off O Street!

I had the BEST time at this Afghan buffet! The food was unreal, everything was so flavorful and fresh. Every single dish was delicious! The music really set the perfect vibe, adding to the atmosphere. The owner was super kind, making sure I had everything I needed. Seriously, the price was also really good for what you get. Can’t wait to go back! 10/10!

Friendly service, beautiful atmosphere, and delicious food with good authenticityand nice variety! I especially enjoyed the potato bolani, as well as the samosas (hands-down the best samosas I’ve ever had!) and the eggplant curry in the buffet section.

Afghan Village Cuisine opened less than a year ago. We finally made it in for date night over the weekend! They have a regular/ take-out menu but we were here for the Daily Buffet!!!
My husband started with the Chicken Curry, Chicken Tikka Kababs, and Beef Chapli. Liked them all, especially the Kabab. Next some Creamy Potato Soup which he said was very creamy, good flavor. Last plate he tried the veggie entrees and Veggie Beef Rolls which he declared his favorite thing so far!
I made myself a green salad from the cold bar, everything was nice and fresh. Started with Chickpea Curry, Zucchini Curry, Eggplant Banjan, and Rice. The curries were very good but it was the Eggplant I had seconds of. I’m not even a fan ordinarily but it was fantastic! The Samosas were literally some of the best I’ve ever had and I had to restrain myself!
My husband grabbed Dessert first. Cream Rolls and Banana Pudding. Loved both. I am not a big dessert person so I got a tiny bit of each. Really have never liked Banana Pudding but I had a second small helping! Those Cream Rolls are magical and addictive! Seconds on those as well! Both were very mild and understated but Delicious!
Service was attentive. He routinely cleared our plates and asked if we were enjoying our food. I am not sure how often the menu changes but I have seen many variables online. Their digital Menu Board stays updated.
Our experience was Great! There was a steady stream of customers but this place should have been packed on a Saturday night. I strongly encourage everyone to give it a try. Spread the Word! It would be a shame to lose this restaurant. $19 bucks is a total steal!

I went all out at the buffet, piling a big plate high with a sampling of everything. And wow, the food was incredible! For less than $20, I felt like I’d scored a deal. Definitely recommend giving this place a try!

I think the freshness of the food needs improvement, and there should be enough food for all customers. Considering the prices, it doesn’t feel worth it unless these issues are fixed to be honest. Also, the way the food is prepared and served doesn’t really meet what you’d expect from proper cuisine. the buffet is very limited.
