You cannot beat this spot for banh mi sandwiches! They are so friendly and fast and the prices are great! I came in on a Saturday afternoon for a banh mi on my way to the beach. Parking is tough in Chinatown but it’s worth driving around. I ordered #1 special sandwich – the traditional banh mi – and it was exceptional! It came out so fresh. The pickled vegetables were crunchy and I absolutely loved the bread. They offered traditional tea while you waited and I was able to sit outside with my dog. I absolutely will be back

Really bad sandwiches! There was very little meat and it was not fresh. I didn’t eat any of it. It was really gross honesty and I’ll never go back

The banh mi was awesome and only $6. Freshly baked bread and the sandwich itself had great flavor. We tried a #1 and a #3.

I’ve been visiting this hidden gem for over a decade, and I can confidently say that their bánh mì remains some of the best I’ve ever had in Chinatown! The #1 option with cold cuts and Vietnamese-style meatloaf is incredibly flavorful. I might be mistaken, but I detect a lovely smoky note that elevates the entire sandwich.
The bread is truly exceptional—fresh, soft on the inside, and perfectly crunchy on the outside. It’s the ideal baguette to complement the vibrant fillings. Every bite is a delightful mix of textures and flavors that keeps me coming back for more. If you’re in the area, you have to give this place a try!

The place was amazingly chill. I called and the gentleman on the phone was calling me by the name on the caller ID. I was thrown off but hilarious!
Ordered my sandwiches and they said they’ll be ready soon!
I got to the spot and walked in and the gentleman already knew I was there for the phone order. Hilarious!
I did not know it was CASH ONLY! Good thing I had a $20 bill with me. It was $18 for 3 sandwiches.
I wish it had more meat to be honest but they were damn good! Especially the beef!!!!!
GO! TRY IT! CASH ONLY! DON’T FORGET!

Hole-in-the-wall banh mi shop that’s super affordable. The bread is always fresh and crunchy. Staff are quick, and you’ll be in and out fast. Very limited seating, but most people grab food to go. A true hidden gem

WARNING, Check your order, just don’t pick up and go, you will receive the wrong sandwich. Don’t believe all these reviews on Instagram, these people get paid to give good reviews, well I saw it and I was close by, so took a chance, the taste was ok for the price ($6 each, not $5 as posted), the owner a nice guy, but he gave me the wrong sandwich. I asked for the grilled chicken and received a regular ham, this is not a restaurant, just a beat up market struggling to survive.

Special sandwich – cold cuts, Vietnamese meatloaf, pate, mayo, cucumber, pickled carrot and daikon, jalapeno, cilantro – 5
Grilled pork sandwich – grilled pork, onion, lemongrass, mayo, cucumber, pickled carrot and daikon, jalapeno, cilantro – 5
If it wasn’t for social media I likely would never have found this place. Located in the Chinatown area of DTLA (which has a lot of culinary treasures mind you) is a little Bodega like market that serves Banh Mi for $5. Value is great. Taste is great. Freshness is great. The baguettes were tasty and chewy.
If you are in the area and are seeking a decent priced lunch that also packs a punch for flavor, give them a try.

Been meaning to try this place for a while. I stopped by on an afternoon and ordered the #2 cold cut banh mi. The gentleman working there is very cordial and mellow.
The banh mi was delicious and would like to try some other combinations next time. They don’t accept card but do accept cash and Zelle.
