The food was ok, went there based on reviews and was disappointed. We tried 2 different burgers and it was a 5out of 10 on taste and quality. The fries where not salty and over fried.

Would not recommend based on taste, price and quality. If you Once the best burger in town go to SIDS garage at the meridian village.

Holy freaking heck, this place is my new go-to!!! First of all the customer service is lovely, the lady who took our order was so kind and professional. I ordered the Barnyard burger, and my friend got the pulled pork sandwich. Both were absolutely fantastic!! The fries had so much flavor and were nice and crispy. My burger was cooked to perfection and was literally sent from the heavens (or the highlands if you will lol) We also got the peach and blackberry gelato, which were both so sweet and fun. I loved the ambiance of the little shack, it had some tables to eat outside. Anyways, so yeah I love this place and will most definitely be coming back 😉

I honestly use to love this place, I took my kid husband here on his first visit from Canada because to me it was the best burger around. I recently came and didn’t have the best experience they messed up my order but fixed and that way okay, today though I came after a month or so to give it another chance. My burger came out raw without melted cheese and my husbands was flavorless. I asked for my burger to be cooked, sadly I do not have pictures of the uncooked burger. It was remade but given to me butchered, the burger was cut into pieces and the whole thing was cut in half. I hope you can return to the quality you once were but you have lost me as a customer.

Super convenient little drive-through (or walk up if your car window no worky work) amazing food stop! About the same price as fast food, little more, but well worth it. Don’t even need to get out of your vehicle for steakhouse quality burgers. Amazing fresh fries (our batch was a bit salty) and sauces. Very kind and patient staff.

Zero reason to drive down the street for some McDonalds overpriced Grey garbage when we have so many small, fast and delicious burger joints like this. Definitely returning! And not just because it’s like a mile from my house.

Great burger. Facility needs cleaned and gross that it is not since customers can see whole kitchen.

Fries were absolutely horrible. I have made better at home myself. They were super oily and not cooked all the way through. Don’t order the fries.

Two major problems so lost two stars. If fixed review will change.

The Ranch ⭐️⭐️

The Ranch offers Scottish Highland burgers that are grass fed and locally raised. I like eating as close to the source as possible, so this business was especially appealing to me. I wasn’t planning on having a cheeseburger today until a member of our group reminded me that it is National Cheeseburger Day. I have been wanting to try this business for months, so I thought “today is the day!” I was really excited while I was driving up to the business. It didn’t matter to me that there were several cars in front of me and that it was taking the line a bit of time to move because I knew that these burgers were made to order. Good food is worth waiting for.

I ordered the Cowboy ($9), which is a quarter pound Highland burger with cheese, lettuce, pickle, MFT ketchup and fresh cut Idaho fries with a 24 ounce drink. I can’t remember the last time I ate a cheeseburger that I disliked this much. The burger was not seasoned. with salt and pepper, MFT makes great ketchup, but it is intended to complement the burger not mask the flavor of it. This burger had way too much ketchup. The cheese was not melted. I appreciate that they used cheddar cheese, but if you don’t have enough time to melt the cheese on your burgers, it would be best to stick with Kraft Deluxe American cheese because it melts fast. There was a piece of lettuce on the burger, but it was not crisp, nor did it enhance the burger in anyway. The bun wasn’t toasted. It takes moments to toast a bun and feeling to do so it’s a rookie mistake. The reason you toast a bun is to insure that it can hold up to the heft of the burger and topping. If not, you risk it falling apart in your hands as you are eating it. I could overlooked any of these issues if the outcome was a good burger, but it wasn’t. After taking three bites, I put it aside.

The fries were OK, but not great. I didn’t finish eating them either. I can’t imagine returning for a basket of them for six dollars. There are just better fries to be found for much less. Even if these fries were half the cost, they weren’t good enough for me to seek them out. If you are going to do fresh cut fries, you need to soak them overnight to remove the excess starch and blanch them before you cook them to ensure that they are cooked inside and crispy on the outside. Otherwise, you would be better off to go with a great quality frozen fry.

I also bought an order of Miss Kathy’s Scottish shortbread $3). Well they looked good at first glance, they were too thin and undercooked. My grandfather is Irish. I have made and eaten plenty of shortbread. At best, this was “shortbreadish” but it was not shortbread. I suspect the dough was overworked or it wasn’t chilled before it was baked, either of which would have caused the dough to spread out while it cooked. Miss Kathy’s shortbread lacks the dry, crumbly texture and crunch this cookie is known for. If I owned The Ranch, I would be buying my shortbread from Zeppole Bakery. They make a good, classic Scottish shortbread. Like the burger and fries, after trying a couple bites, I threw away the shortbread.

Note that the cheeseburger looks a lot bigger than it was because of the angle I shot it from. Even though I did not have a good experience, I still want to represent it to the best of my ability, just as I would any other business.

Bland unseasoned burgers, overcooked and dry. They’re grass fed which is a huge plus, but that also means add some fat or leave pink, preferably both. Fries had no salt and they forgot to truffle mine. Pulled pork on the pork fries was good. Bangers and mash taste horrible. Soupy gravy over potatoes that taste like they came from a box. I hate leaving bad reviews but hopefully it also helps the owners. The under seasoning is a legit complaint and I’m not the only one. Everyone was raving about this place so we had pretty big expectations but we were left disappointed. Big bun down the street is a better option.

I’m cursed with celiac so got the gluten free bun. Not their fault it was so bad, no one has a good gf bun. But I wrapped it in lettuce at home and added mayo and drastically improved it. I got the hoss.

Ordered truffle fries and they gave us regular salted fries. Not to mention they were burnt. I asked the person at the window if this was supposed to be truffle fries and they said yes. Wouldn’t haven’t minded so much if they weren’t burnt black. The burger was ok other than being way smaller than the bun. The bun was poor quality for what we paid for.
Would be 1 star but the person at the window said they were really busy with an online order so I felt for them. If we had known that was going to affect the quality of our food then we would have just left.

It looks like a coffee/espresso stand, but it’s a BURGER stand!! Excellent burger and fries, above average speed, and friendly service. The fries are seasoned perfectly, get fry sauce and local ketchup.

One suggestion: my bun was a bit cold from the refrigerator, but not bad (def not frozen). Warming/toasting the buns with butter would be better!

My husband and I shared the Barnyard burger. It is one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. The pulled pork is so good, it doesn’t really need the hamburger patty. The egg and bacon are a bonus.
