I have Celiac’s, and this makes eating out hard, but the staff was wonderful and helped me make sure I could craft a meal that was safe for me within my own comfort level (as anyone with celiac knows, there is always a little risk eating out). Not only were they accommodating with my questions, but they also cook all GF food on a different part of the grill as well.
I ended up getting a Build Your Own Bowl with steamed rice. Unfortunately, their fried rice has soy sauce in it, and they don’t have gluten-free soy sauce (yet!). I spoke with a manager or owner (not sure which) there who hopes to get some in soon.
When you do the build your own bowl, you take your card up to a buffet-style area where they have “stations” set up. The first is for vegetables like broccoli, potatoes, and tiny corns. The next has proteins here like eggs, chicken, shrimp, and beef. You pile whatever you’d like into the bowl they give you, and then you go to the next “station” to choose your seasonings and sauces, which you put into cups. The only gluten-free sauces currently are spicy, but I didn’t mind because I enjoy spicy food.
After choosing your seasonings and sauces, you put everything onto a tray and give it to the person so they can take it to be cooked. When its done its brought to your table.
When I got my food, it was cooked beautifully, and the rice came on the side.
I’ll definitely be going back.
Great sides too like crab rangoons and potstickers.
Lunch was very affordable for an all you can eat (AYCE) deal. You can create your own bowl from veggie, protein, and sauce options, and the chefs will prepare it and bring it back to your table. There’s also an AYCE bar with two soup options, various dim sum (shrimp shumai, pork gyoza, spring roll, crab rangoon), and sushi options.
I preferred the shrimp shumai to the pork guoza but both were tasty! Their duck sauce and dumpling sauce both had great flavor. I liked the variety of sushi available. The miso soup was pretty good! It’s at either #2 or #3 in the county for me, taste-wise.
For my bowl I opted for beef as my protein and it was really tender and delicious. I liked the kick in the Szechuan sauce (labeled as medium heat) but I’m glad I added some jalapeños to my veggie ootions. I was really happy with the quality of the protein and veg and how many options were available!
I think next time I’ll ask for no rice and just get some noodles. I did both this time and it was a little more than I wanted.
My partner and I are considering making this spot our standing Tuesday lunch date!
They have recently started AYCE bowls, soups, salad, regular sushi and desserts.
They have a huge selection of veggies, meats and sauces that can be added to customize your noodle/rice bowl. They keep refilling all items and have enough available even during rush hour. It is a great experience to make your own bowl according to your liking
Service is quick and servers are attentive. Will definitely recommend a meal here.
Would have liked if they still had the option to get only 1 bowl and pack the leftover to go.
Great place if you like freshly cooked food.
It’s a little confusing if you want to eat in but not do All You Can Eat but worth it! I was charged $7.99 for my single trip thru the buffet. The Bento Box was also really good! Service is good. Definitely going back!
