My husband ordered a pulled pork sandwich with a side of smoked mac & cheese, and I got a order of hush puppies a brisket sandwich and I’ll order of collard greens with turkey in it
The hush puppies are super burnt and there’s no breading inside
After waiting 30 minutes, our food was received code. It’s not hot at all like it was sitting in the refrigerator and same with the size not only that but the collard greens say collard greens with turkey, but they’re the same ones that you get out of a can from the store I expected a little bit more love in the food Will not be returning unless it’s to get my hush puppies remade

Ordered my food through DoorDash. The tater tots were good. The pulled chicken sandwich was okay. The flavor was there but I could also taste the grill that it was (possibly) cooked on/in. The yams were good, but I added some more nutmeg, cinnamon, and brown sugar because I like my yams sweet (personal preference). My husband said the collard greens were okay. He said they tasted like they had vinegar in them and he wasn’t a huge fan of that. He loved the turkey leg. My only concern is I feel it may have been a somewhat undercooked compared to the other pictures I see from reviews of the turkey leg. I would possibly try this place again, but definitely all different items.

Only had the brisket sandwich at $6+ with tax. The flavor was fine, but the brisket was sliced thin, and there was some shredded brisket mixed in with that.
Contrast to Malbon Bros, which serves a $10+ sandwich with cubes of brisket. You can feel the texture in that sandwich.
Still, the price point is compelling.

Food was great, ordered the ribs and fries and my friend got a chicken sandwich. Took a little bit but I’d rather it fresh than something made up quick. Pretty cool outside activities I’d like to try when I come back. But I definitely recommend!

Stopped by and picked up some food and we did not like most of the food this time. Greens, mac n cheese and yams were not good at all this time. Brisket sandwich, fried chicken wingettes and baked beans were still good but the wow factor was no longer there. Really nice people but food this time was not good.

I try to support small Mom & Pop type of establishments like this one but sometimes you end up wishing you hadnt. No customers but yet the front of the place was littered with trash. My fried fish order was obviously over cooked in burnt grease so much so the grease was leaking in the bag. Even the fish had an odd taste. I hadnt checked the reviews until after leaving but agree that the mac & cheese had to have been from Kraft box and they microwaved it because I could taste the styrofoam bowl from being heated. The young man at the window was very courteous and helpful with providing me a refund.
Just wish we would take more pride in what we offer the community. Definitely would not recommend nor return.

Very disappointing experience. The brisket was dry and seemed covered in sauce to hide it, the baked beans were inedible, and part of my delivery order was missing. While they’re open later than other spots, the quality doesn’t come close — Wilkes up the street is far better. I wouldn’t order from here again.

First off I want to say Thank you to Cristina she was very nice and warming went out her way at to tell me about the menu her recommendations and etc I loved that the I ordered hot wings ,turkey leg , and a fish sandwich because it was my first time so far everything is great my turkey leg was tender and juicy the hot wings are sauced up the way I like I haven’t gotten into the sandwich yet but everything else is 10 outta 10 and again thank you to Cristina for your kindness

I’ve always ridden past the place, and I would always see people there. My curiosity was more than I could bear. I was one of the first many customers that would come and enjoy the meal. My sweet potatoe fries wasn’t cooked all the way. The season they put on my chicken was bland so bland I called up there to make sure it was up there. I ordered honey garlic. It tasted like burnt chicken thats all glad I asked for ranch
