Boom Boom Tacos is a small place in the University district but don’t let that fool you. The food here is excellent! My wife and I eat Mexican food weekly, and it does not compare to what we experienced at Boob Boom. Chips and salsa are uniquely differently delicious. I had a burrito that not only was incredibly tasty but looked beautiful! Crazy, right? My wife had street corn and a quesadilla- she was very, very happy! She told me she’d come back here tomorrow if I wanted to. LOL We will be back for more for sure.

High quality, trendy Mexican food. The veggie bowl had a delicious poblano cream sauce. The marinated chicken was excellent, and the barbacoa was top-notch. Even their salsa and guac were great.

This new Mexico restaurant is close to Union. The room was decorated with Mexican colorful paintings. The vibe was crazy. Servers were nice. WiFi was available.
However, their food was a little expensive and tasted not impressive. Free chips and salsa were given. Chips were crispy but the salsa tasted not fresh. I tried one special pork taco and one classic shrimp taco. The taco was authentic. The shrimp taco tased better. There were some daily specials and only alcohol options in the happy hour menu.

Being Mexican and coming from Texas its very hard to find good authentic tacos and/or Mexican food in general. But from the guacamole and chips to the tacos and fajitas this place was on point. Guacamole had no filler lettuce on the bottom and had great seasoning and flavor. My husband ordered the Boom Boom fajitas (beef,chicken and shrimp) even though the beef fajitas themselves were a tad tough the flavors were there. Chicken and shrimp were very good. I ordered 3 different tacos so I could try some different flavors they offered. The quesobirra, carne asada, and the la Diabla shrimp tacos. The carne Asada was a tad tough, but the birra and shrmip were soooo freaking good. Their fried shrimp on those la Diabla shrmip tacos were my favorite!! Plump juice and flavorful. Resturant and bathrooms were clean and the staff was friendly. I would definitely recommend amd come back to this place again.

The staff was A1, every time we finished our chips and dip she would bring some more out as soon as she sees an empty basket also with the drinks very polite but the food however was plain I didn’t really taste any flavor in the American taco I don’t recommend getting that at all but the birria nachos were very good , they don’t give avocado on it usually but I requested it…. They also do Karaoke Night on Tuesdays at 7pm if you’re interested!!

Such a cute hole in the wall restaurant! Amazing food incredible staff our waiter sang beautifully as he served food throughout the restaurant. I got the quesabrilla and the happy hour hurricane ( the drink was super sweet they were kind and gave me orange juice so I could handle the rest ) we will definitely be back for more food and great music .

Stopped in really quick while traveling through town. The owner, I think, greeted me upon entry and he was very kind and knowledgeable of the area. We were a bit lost, and I had my kids, he didn’t hesitate to offer to help. Very appreciative of his kindness as a business owner and or manager.

Server was so nice so I didn’t have the heart to tell her the food was the worst food I’ve ever all year. People who cooked it saw a picture of Mexican food for 2 seconds and said “yeah, I can do that”. Paid my $120 bill and left
