We were greeted when we walked in. The restaurant was clean. They had vegetarian options and minimal vegan options. We both ordered the cinnamon roll French toast. I added pecans to mine. I ordered the house potatoes and my son got hasbhbrowns. The hasbhbrowns had no seasoning on it at all. He took two bites and we shared my potatoes. The sweet tea was a 10/10. I’d definitely visit again but will try pancakes instead. The French toast was way too eggy for me.

This restaurant has become one of my go-to places to have an affordable, tasty breakfast and coffee visit with friends and family. I’ve tried many items and have been pleased with quality and quantity of our meals. Service is always great! Good location with plenty of parking. You pay at register on way out – I imagine might plan for that time on a busy shift. Love this place!

Nice fluffy pancakes, reminds me of angel food cake. I had the Italian sausage skillet — tasty and good portion. Attentive table service, waitress was very nice.
Would like to see real maple syrup (not corn syrup) and fresh squeezed orange juice available as an option — that would make this place really stand out.

This is place is so good and so quick. Me and my husband have been going for years now. Love the staff and service, always clean and a good consistent flow of traffic. They do take out as well. They are very quick. We actually went this morning and less ten minutes are food was out.

What I love most is how family-friendly and kid-friendly the atmosphere is. The menu has plenty of options for little ones, and the welcoming staff makes it easy to bring the whole family for a relaxing breakfast or brunch.
Another highlight is that it’s budget-friendly, with generous portion sizes and affordable prices, making it one of the top value breakfast restaurants in Indianapolis. You truly get a lot of food for your money without sacrificing quality or taste.
Whether you’re craving a stack of buttermilk pancakes, crispy bacon, or a comforting plate of biscuits and gravy, this spot delivers every time. It’s also a great choice if you’re searching for affordable brunch in Indianapolis with a laid-back and welcoming vibe.

One of the best breakfast places in Indy! Great service, great food, and great atmosphere! With reasonable prices to boot, hotcakes is a great place to start your day, or end it if you’re a night shifter like me!
While I am not a fan of eggs myself, I’ve been told theirs are amazing. I’m particularly fond of the country fried pork chop, and their French toast is excellent.

We chose this place because my nieces and nephew wanted to check out a new place they’ve never been to since I’m visiting. We walked in and were immediately taken to our booth. The restaurant has an extensive menu with lots of choices of breakfast and lunch items. It took me a while to try to focus on something to get. There were several items that I wanted to try from the breakfast and lunch section.
I chose the Hungryman Skillet, my nephew had the pancakes with sausage links from the Just For Kids section. My nieces had the Jalapeno Cheese Burrito and the Spinach, Bacon, and Swiss Omelete. The Hungryman Skillet was delicious with hash browns, onions, green peppers, ham, bacon, sausage and country gravy with two eggs any style on top. I chose to have my eggs sunny side up. The pancakes I sampled from my nephew was delicious.
The service was great, our server and other servers frequently checked up on us asking how our meals were and topping off the coffee. I’ll definitely try this place out again when I’m back in Indianapolis.

My wife is particular (and usually critical) about restaurant breakfast food, but she said her meal at Hotcakes Emporium this morning was the best she’s had in a long time. The pancakes were scrumptious!

One of my favorite breakfast spots we come here often. This is one of my favorite dishes. It’s really good the crispy chicken breakfast skillet.
