This is one of San Antonio’s best brunches (only served Saturday) and at the risk of making my wait longer, you should not miss eating here. Creative specials, consistently excellent food, and friendly service make this a fantastic and relaxing Saturday breakfast spot. I spent two years living outside San Antonio, and Leon Valley Cafe was the first place I would come to on the weekends I returned. Best waffle I’ve had.

You seat yours and grab a menu on the way in. Menu is small but I like that, too many choices take too long to decide. Metal utensils, ceramic plates and cloth napkins. Waitress can by shortly after I sat down. Ordered the tomato soup, a cup, and meatloaf (comfort food!)
Got the soup without croton. And no bread which I think must come with the meal.
The soup was very good with melted cheese on top. A bowl would make an excellent lunch with some bread.
Meat loaf was delicious and well plated with a bed of mashed potatoes and asparagus.
I would definitely return and try another menu item next visit to San Antonio!

Amazing food every time I go. I always like to try the specials of the day, and their sweet tea is the best. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, especially the chef and his wife. This place never disappoints.

I have passed by this place countless times without a thought of eating there until two friends raved about it.
The venue is unpretentious, humble even, but the food is excellent. We’ve had far lesser “dining experiences” at Bob’s and Fredericks recently.
The salmon was cooked to perfection, and I’m especially discerning with sea-food.
The service was very good, and the prices extremely reasonable, not cheap, but very fair for the high quality of food served. and expertly presented.

Great food and drinks in charming surroundings. I especially love the Cuban sandwich. Try a salad with delightfully smoky, spicy chipotle ranch dressing. The iced tea is a beautiful reddish brown color. Great service. Decent patio. These guys could charge a whole heck of a lot more for their superior quality food, so it’s kind of a steal at their moderate pricing.
