AMAZING! Mr. Pitt is simply charming and clearly loves what he does. We tried the St. Louis ribs, coleslaw and mac n cheese. I’m not typically one for coleslaw, but this one was next level. The ribs were tender, falling off the bone. My daughter fell in love with the mac n cheese and wants to go back to try it with the pulled pork. Whatever you choose, you won’t be disappointed.

We stopped in on our way home from a day trip. We ordered the sampler platter and the food was so good! The St. Louis ribs were tender without being overcooked, the rib tips were amazing, and the pulled pork was delicious. The BBQ sauce really made it spectacular! We also had mac’n’cheese and it was so creamy and really well seasoned. We bought a brisket dinner to go to eat later. We may have to make the drive up here from Indy again sometime!

Man I’ve been in South Bend for 6 years and never knew this place was here. I was looking for good BBQ place. Oh man.. did I find one! Brisket was tender, BBQ had a flavor that made you wanna keep eating. DELICIOUS!! They made themselves a new regular on the first visit! The tips are spot on! Couldn’t be happier

Love the place. Drive from Elkhart to get the BBQ. Owner operator super nice and works with you on your order. We get the dinners and he always packages them really well for out trip home. He will serve us our family size with reasonable pricing. Food fantastic and the greens are really good.

Rocking BBQ joint. And that’s exactly what this place is – a joint. Menu on dry-erase whiteboard, out of some stuff, plenty of the rest. The Rib tips were sublime, the brisket tender and tasty. Next time, however, I think I will ask for the St. Louis-style sauce to be served on the side, as the meat was kinda swimming in it. No ambiance, it’s a joint, remember? Go for the meat. Sides were decent, but nothing to write home about – typical BBQ joint sides – they were out of the greens (the true barometer). I would go again and sample more of the menu next time I’m in town.

The food here was spectacular. I would recommend it to anyone who had that barbecue desire and it doesn’t have time to make it for themselves. Is that there was extremely friendly and they offer nice size samples which was a plus cuz we were surprised we didn’t know they did that. They have an amazing barbecue sauce that is mouth-watering an extremely Pleasant to the taste buds.

You simply MUST try this place! The barbecue is superb and the staff rock. Pits BBQ prepared food for my daughter’s baby shower. Everything was ready to go when I came to pick it up, they even helped me take all that food to my car. Throughout the party, people continued to rave about the food and wanted to know where to get some more!

Was in town and looked up BBQ. This looked like the kind of owner-operated place I was looking for. Mr Pitt is a real nice guy, there was another in line before me but he talked to me before taking my order. I was surprised to learn you get a free rib sample with your order, I was happy to learn I made a good choice with choosing the ribs! They were cooked perfectly! Green beens were great too, good flavoring. Definitely recommended!
