I think our waitress was Brenda, she was the best waitress we’ve had in a very long time, efficient and thoughtful. Everything came out perfectly with her timing.! It was our first time at the restaurant, food was excellent, cooked to perfection. Being Easter they had a nice crowd. We will definitely be back. It’s not a big restaurant so make reservations.

Wow! A true speakeasy but don’t be fooled, the food is out of this world. When we pulled into the lot we thought for sure we had the wrong place. The only sign is on rte 65. Once you drive to the top of the hill it’s a gravel lot and a large building which may or may not have been a house at one time. We were not sure it was the wrong place.
We entered into a small bar area then down a short hall that lead into the dining room. The environment was nice and cozy. The fireplace was on and we got lucky enough to get the table near by.
We started with soup and salad. I had the tomato bacon dill soup and everyone else had the house salad with their homemade balsamic dressing and blue cheese crumbles. For the main course I had the chicken parm with broccoli on the side. My husband had the ribeye steak with mushrooms and onions and a side of broccoli. Our guests both had the special that evening, Chicken Florentine, one with side of pasta and one with broccoli.
I forgot to take pictures of our desserts but they were so good it more of an experience. We had pineapple upside cake that came with a warm brown sugar sauce. My husband had the crème brûlée.
Everything was amazing it was our first time and will definitely not our last. This will be a regular for us. I wish I could give more stars! I would be remiss to not mention our server, Steve, that was awesome. He explained everything and was there just in time to clear plates and fill waters. His outgoing personality made the night perfect.

The food is AMAZING here!! The Sewickley Speakeasy is a small, quaint restaurant that has a long neighborhood history as well as fresh cooked food. There is a nice selection of Seafood dishes as well as steak. The garlic “Smashed ” potatoes are to die for! The service is personable and efficient. The restaurant is located in the upscale, historic neighborhood of Sewickley Pennsylvania right near the Ohio River. The menu and wine list is quite impressive. There is also a fully stocked bar in the front of the restaurant. There is ample parking as well. The vibe is low key yet warm and comforting. Being here makes you feel like you are in the living room of a family member’s home. The prices are fair and the portions are decent. Great place to propose to the special person In your life! They also host, wedding receptions and small gatherings. I love to visit everytime, I visit loved ones in Sewickley!

Dr. Lewis Faulkner took me for a Anniversary/Valentines Day celebration at a highly recommended restaurant. They exceed our expectations with delicious food and excellent service! I had the Seafood Platter and Doc had the Steak Zurich and Stuffed Mushrooms. Everything done to perfection! We will be returning very soon!

Service was great and atmosphere is exactly what you would expect for a restaurant in a house — very kitschy and dated, but in a fun way.
I got the pineapple salmon, which had granules of sugar still in it. No one at our table particularly enjoyed their meal.

absolutely delicious! 10/10 would recommend to anyone! (*seating is very limited so make a reservation in advance*) make sure to not miss the turn into restaurant it’s very easy to miss. our waitstaff was wonderful. was told everything is made in house and fresh every morning. the atmosphere is intimate and small with retro photos hung up, the house is from the 1700s and the restaurant has been open 24 years. a train goes by about every 10 minutes adding to the atmosphere plus they also have outdoor seating (*currently not available due to staff shortages*) Pricing is (in my opinion) pretty fair for the type of food they serve and because it’s made fresh. food came out relatively quickly for the amount mmy only complaint is that we wanted to sit outdoors and couldn’t but that can’t be helped.

Comically bad food. Ironically unironic tacky decor. Obviously frozen and microwaved food. Oh, and you pay a premium for all of the above. We should have known when the salads (see photo) came out that our $50/plate entrees were going to be sub-par; we weren’t expecting barely edible. How can you ruin a baked brie with berry sauce? Freeze it, I suppose, microwave it, and pour gritty red tasteless goo all over it.

Great food half the time, other half of the time obviously frozen slapped together garbage. Absolutely terrible hours. Never seems open when we’d like to go. Doesn’t seem like it would be hard to open more than a half day half a week, or not to make it a toss up between good, fresh food, and frozen slapped together garbage depending on the night

First time at this restaurant. Located in an older house, it has a partial view over the Ohio. Interior was a bit rustic, like you might see in a very rural area like near a state park. It was quiet except for the four trains that went by on the tracks next to the river. Service and food were both excellent. My cocktail had a good amount of bourbon and was reasonably priced. Price was maybe a little on the high side. We will surely return.

Easily the worst dining experience of my life.
The service was glacial, the decor felt like Antiques Roadshow meets haunted attic, and the food? Straight from the freezer aisle. Our appetizer was something I could’ve made better at home, the salad was a sad pile of iceberg with half a cherry tomato and a dab of ranch, and the bread showed up cold—after the salad and appetizer.
My surf and turf featured a chewy steak pretending to be a filet and a cold lobster tail. The only warm thing I ate was a baked potato. My husband’s steak was raw, and he spent the rest of the night nauseous, questioning all his life choices.
For $50 a plate, it was almost comical how bad it was. It ruined our long-awaited date night.
Save your money—go literally anywhere else.
