I ordered a slice of pizza (they stuff the crust with Brazilian cheese) and they have a couple to choose from. Their coxinhas are fresh and they have chicken and beef. They have baked goods (including fresh bread) and pastries. I ordered the pasteis de nata and it was tasty.
It is a nice addition to the area and worth exploring!
If you’re searching for an authentic Brazilian restaurant near Orlando, this is the place to go. Made with tomato sauce, mozzarella, seasoned chicken, generous dollops of Catupiry (a creamy Brazilian cheese similar to cream cheese), oregano, and olive oil, every bite of this pizza was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. It’s indulgent without being heavy and wildly flavorful without being overwhelming—one of the best Brazilian pizzas near Orlando.
From there, everything else just confirmed how special this Brazilian restaurant in Altamonte Springs truly is. We tried a BRAZILIAN BEEF PASTEL, and it was massive, perfectly flaky, and filled with savory beef. The golden pastry shattered with each bite, delivering classic Brazilian street-food flavor.
The CHICKEN COXINHA was another standout—crispy potato dough on the outside, tender shredded chicken on the inside, and completely mouthwatering. It’s easy to see why this is one of the most popular Brazilian snacks near Orlando.
I also had the BRAZILIAN HOT HAM AND CHEESE, made with homemade French bread, grilled ham, and melted mozzarella. Simple, comforting, and executed beautifully, it was pure MELT-IN-YOUR-MOUTH GOODNESS.
To drink, I tried a SUGAR CANE JUICE WITH LIME, which was smooth, lightly sweet, and incredibly refreshing—an ideal complement to the richer dishes and a must-try when visiting a Brazilian café near Orlando.
For dessert, I ordered a BRAZILIAN CAPPUCCINO, flavored with chocolate and cinnamon and made using their own Brazilian coffee beans. It was warm, aromatic, and comforting, with just the right balance of sweetness and spice—an absolute must if you’re a coffee lover. It was FANTASTIC. We finished with a slice of HOMEMADE BRAZILIAN CARROT CAKE, and it was the perfect sweet ending to the meal.
What truly elevated the experience was the SENSE OF COMMUNITY. The café was full of Brazilian locals, yet as first-time visitors, we were warmly welcomed. The staff took time to explain the menu, talk through flavor differences, share cultural insight, and even bring us a small sample to try for next time. That kind of hospitality sets this Brazilian restaurant near Orlando apart.
Beyond the café, the BRAZILIAN MARKET makes this location even more special. You’ll find HOMEMADE ROLLS AND BREADS, an impressive selection of HIGH-QUALITY MEATS including PICANHA, FILETS, TOMAHAWK STEAKS, AND SPECIALTY SAUSAGES, along with cheeses and a case full of FROZEN, PREPARED BRAZILIAN MEALS READY TO TAKE HOME.
Bossa Nova Market Café also has a comfortable dining area and occasionally hosts LIVE MUSIC AND ART SHOWS, which they are expanding in 2026. It’s warm, family feel make it a community for those who love authentic Brazilian food near Orlando.
LOCATED ON SR-436 IN ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, this Brazilian restaurant near Orlando is just a 17-MINUTE DRIVE FROM DOWNTOWN ORLANDO, and it is absolutely worth it. If you’re looking for authentic Brazilian food near Orlando, unforgettable pizza, and genuine hospitality, BOSSA NOVA MARKET CAFÉ IS A MUST-VISIT.
Really enjoyed the pizza with ” secret cheese”. And finally they brought out this type of warm corn pudding dessert, curau de milho, which they topped with cinnamon. Absolutely delicious.
The coffee drinks are unique and when I ordered a cappuccino I thought I was getting a traditional cappuccino but it came with a nice dollop of sweetened whipped cream.
People seemed enthusiastic about doing a great job and the place is neat and clean. I hope they do well.
My new favorite spot in Altamonte Springs.
I’m leaving a well-deserved five-star review for this amazing company.
I’ve never felt more welcomed in a store than I did at Bossa Nova. I walked in as a first-timer and was immediately greeted with genuine kindness. Armando came over personally to say hello and made me feel right at home — and you can always tell a lot about a company by the way its team treats you.
I met his daughter (I believe her name is Theresa), who was incredibly pleasant and welcoming. Then I met another team member who shared her story with me — she had worked at Panera for over a decade, lost her job, and Armando, one of her longtime customers, hired her without hesitation. She’s the kind of woman who feels like everyone’s grandma: warm, sweet, and loyal. Her car was recently in an accident, and she still planned to walk from her home to work just to show up on time. That level of loyalty says everything about the culture Armando has created.
On top of that, the food was delicious. Armando even offered samples, which sold me immediately. I bought some incredible items, and I’m already on my way back today to grab more and enjoy the ambience.
I’m grateful I randomly walked in. Bossa Nova is officially my new go-to spot in Altamonte Springs. I’ll be bringing my family, friends, and business partners. Thank you, Armando — I’m your new regular.
What a wonderful small market here in community Altamonte Spring for the Brazilian community. While most of it is candy on the shelves, they do have a lot of specialty items that come only from Brazil. There is also a cafe that must be stopped at on every visit.
The coxinhas and risoles were delicious. I’d especially call out the cheese and corn risole that was particularly yummy. The Chicken Empada was also on point. The Caldo de Cana com Limão was 10/10.
One can’t go to this place and not try their Cappuccino Brasileiro. Armandinho makes one with cinnamon that hits the right spot. Honestly, I can’t remember when I had one as good as his.
Oh man, I haven’t tried all their menu yet. I definitely gotta go back.
With regards to the Market aspect of it, they have a wide variety of snacks, Brazilian food, and products from cookies to Pans. Need barbecue meat? Picanha maybe? Garlic bread? They got it.
Flip flops (havaianas)? Yup. Oh man, this place really has it all.
Thank you, Fany and family, for your generosity and care. The way you treat your customers makes us feel like family, not just customers. I am deeply grateful and will always remember this beautiful gesture.
