The customer service was beyond excellent as well. The staff was friendly, professional, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable.
All of my friends were amazed by the food, and everyone kept asking where this place was located because they loved it so much. I just want to thank the restaurant for such a wonderful experience. I will definitely continue coming back and recommending Sama Grill to others!
I didn’t take pictures but these are some screenshots of the videos my friends took 🙂

Sama Grill in Southampton is a great spot for Mediterranean cuisine lovers. We ordered the chicken mandi, lamb mandi, chicken kabab skewer, kafta kebab skewer, and hummus. Everything tasted good. The chicken and lamb were juicy and flavorful, though I did feel the rice was a little dry. The ambience was pleasant, and the staff were warm and welcoming, they would come by and ask if we like the food and if we had any suggestions on improving, which made it a good experience as usually its hard to find good and friendly staff. Overall, it’s a solid place to enjoy a nice meal, and I would definitely go back again.
Really delicious, made to order, and authentic. I have a dairy allergy and they were SUPER careful with me. I had the lamb kabob, hummus, side salad, and turkish coffee. Comfortable seat yourself style, very clean, and nice not very loud music. Staff and owners are delightful.
I will definitely be back.
I was so hungry and forgot to take a picture before I dug in, But the serving sizes are perfect☆
It’s family-owned and operated and everything is made in house. My friend and I ordered the Sampler, which was stuffed grape leaves, falafel, hummus, red pepper, hummus, and Baba ganoush with fresh pita bread. It was probably some of the best we’ve had, ever. It tasted like it was literally just made. And everything was topped with a beautiful olive oil. The falafel was crunchy on the outside, and soft and flavorful on the inside with the perfect amount of spices. In fact, it’s only been a few hours since I’ve had them and I’m already craving them again.
Our entrees came and we were actually almost full. The portions are so big and the prices are amazing for what you get. I opted for the chicken Shawarma and my friend ordered the chicken and lamb Shawarma. These delicious dishes came with a side of rice that was so fragrant and matched perfectly with the meats. The side of grilled veggies carried the same flavor profile, matching exactly as you would expect them to. I ended my lunch with the Turkish coffee. It was amazing and popped with fresh cardamom and was so pleasant.
I have to laugh sometimes when we go to expensive restaurants, and get a mediocre meal for three times the price. This place is authentic and the family that owns it are lovely, hard working people, who truly take pride in their food. And it shows. I will definitely be back and HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
We ordered their falafel sandwich, falafel on their own, chicken shawarma over rice, lamb shawarma over rice and kefta kebab over rice. We then had the baklava for dessert.
The falafel were so delicious; soft and fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Also, they were heart shaped, which is a VERY CUTE original touch. They were very light and the tahini sauce paired with them was very tasty. Tahini sauce can sometimes get heavy but I did not experience that with their sauce. The sandwich was also amazing with the added pickles and veggies. It was very filling considering it was big.
The chicken shawarma was marinated chicken thighs which were SO TENDER and flavorful. The rice was cooked perfectly and its seasoning paired very nicely with the chicken. The side of hummus was very delicious as well.
The lamb shawarma was also very tender with an amazing rich flavor. It’s very rare that restaurants are able to get such a flavor of lamb. The side of mouhamara was VERY authentic; I enjoyed eating with the mains and the pita bread served.
The kefta kebab was my personal favorite, as it had such a delicious mix of spices. It was also very juicy. I finished the plate wanting more even after feeling full. The fries were also some of the best fries I had.
Each of the rice dishes were served with a spicy red sauce that paired amazingly with all of them. I highly recommend pouring it all over the dish. It was just the right amount of spice and tasted of fresh tomato.
Lastly we had the baklava, which was made out of a flaky filo dough of great consistency. The fillings were amazing and had the perfect amount of sweetness that did not overpower the flavor of the walnut and pistachio fillings. A perfect sweet treat after a VERY satisfying meal.
This restaurant serves very filling meals that are worth the price due to their large portion sizes and sides that come with the mains.
You can tell how much thought and effort was put into making the food and the recipes. Also, the staff are so very kind and welcoming. I HIGHLY recommend coming to this restaurant when in Pennsylvania and I CAN NOT wait to get the chance to revisit myself.
My favorite is the chicken shawarma, so good! I’ve only had it as a sandwich but I’ll probably try it in a platter in the near future. Also, I’ve been coming to Sama Grill for a while now, and I almost always get chicken; and it has always been cooked and seasoned well and never dry! I even heated up the the chicken from the shawarma sandwich for lunch the next day, it was still very good!
Now let’s talk service, the owners are great, very welcoming and you will get great service here. The food is made to order, so you need to wait some, but it’s worth the wait!
