5th Jan 18 I had lunch here with my mother who was visiting me. I had never been to this establishment before and wont go again. The heating was not working and the restaurant was freezing cold, we sat with our coats on and so did the other patrons. The staff should have advised us when we came in. I ordered the fried green tomato BLT with a side of fries. The menu says the fries are “hand-cut” but I find that really hard to believe, they were heavily seasoned and so salty I was unable to eat them. The BLT had soggy fatty bacon and not enough dressing (whatever it was – ranch I think) on dried out bread. The biscuit and jam were about the only edible things. My mother had the omelete – ordinary would be best description – and over-salted fries which she didnt eat either. The waitress asked me if I wanted a refill of diet coke then never returned with it. We couldnt wait to leave and I didnt want the argument/discussion with the staff about how awful it was so we paid and left to go outside and get warm !
